  1. I read the beginning of your list and said, "Now, that's my kind of shopping. Sodas and Cheetos," but I see that you did add some veggies and meat to balance them out. :)

    1. Too funny, June. Yes, I bought a few regular groceries to go with the sodas and snacks! :D

  2. The Reduced fat Cheez-its amuse me - cut the fat, bring on the salt, I bet! By the way, I read recently that it is helpful to drink plenty of water to help eliminate salt, also eat potassium laden foods like bananas and strawberries. This means I can feel less guilty about eating chips! I've also found a way to make an individual bowl of chips last longer - I smush them slightly and then eat the smallest pieces first. I don't know if it is a touch of OCD but I can only eat chips in order of size. I enjoy them more that way.

    1. That's always how it goes, isn't it? Reduce one ingredient and increase another to maintain the same taste. :) I usually order the original version of everything (no diet soda, for example), but this was an experiment to see if the reduced fat version would affect my stomach in the same manner as the original. Yes, drinking plenty of water will help to eliminate extra salt, etc. According to my most recent blood tests, the percentage of salt in my blood stream was within normal levels, thank goodness. I like your way of making a bowl of chips last longer! I should try it, myself!

  3. Well done with the savings with coupons. I'm not doing great with the shopping, though I am planning menus which cuts down on the trips to the shops and I'm trying to use up things in the freezer. I want to get rid of some so I can shop the Thanksgiving/Christmas sale food items to store for winter!

    1. Thank you, Sharon. I try to take advantage of the sales, even when the sales are not that great. You are doing well with planning your meals and using up things from the freezer. Holiday sales are a good time to stock up on things.
