| New Path - Straight and Narrow |
On Friday, I had M redo the pathway from the back steps to the garage and back. It's more of a straight line than before, with the pavers closer together. The plan is to fill the gaps with some small pebbles and stones.

It's not as interesting to look at, I think, but, I'm less likely to trip and fall.
Saturday was sunny and mild. I did laundry, including daughter's bed sheets, and I vacuumed her bedroom and remade her bed for her.
I had put mung beans to soak overnight and I boiled them for brunch. For dinner, we had bacon wrapped hot dogs on buns and a side salad (lettuce, cucumber, carrots, plums, and cashews with bottled dressing). There are two more hot dogs leftover for tomorrow's brunch.
On Saturday, I was grateful for:
- A sunny day, with temperatures in the mid 70s
- Working appliances
- Natural gas and electricity to run the appliances
- Having my daughter home
- What I was able to accomplish
Saturday's joyful activity was spending time chatting with my daughter.
Plans for Sunday include washing my bed sheets and vacuuming the rest of the house.

DeleteLooks like those stones should do the trick. We have a pile of stones that need placed to form a path from the driveway to my husband's shop. Some day that will make it to the top of the list. :)

DeleteMaking sure you stay on the straight and narrow can only be a good thing (😉), and this version does seem to have fewer pitfalls. Did M have to do much preparation, in terms of making sure the ground was totally level? I never cease to be amazed by how hard that bit is!

Yes, I have to stay on the straight and narrow! :D M just dug into the ground, making sure to remove any grass roots he found, and settled the pavers into the soil. One or two of the pavers seem to slope a bit, and I will ask him to level them a bit on his next visit (I think he was a bit fed up with me changing things around when he was here on Friday!)

DeleteYour new path is very attractive and a lot more sensible for walking without a trip hazard. I have found as I age I think more about safety than I did in the past, which includes thing like handrails on all of the outdoor stairs.
