Rainy Wednesday

It started to rain, late last night and it rained practically all day, today!  It did stop in the late afternoon, and I aired the house a bit.

I woke up feeling much better, today.  Still a bit achy, but not too bad and I didn't  need to take any Tylenol (the cancer medication I am on makes me achy as a side effect, anyway).

My sister called me in the morning to say she is really enjoying the jar of jam I gave her.  We chatted for a bit and promised to keep in touch.  Later, I called my cousins and reminded them about the almsgiving on Sunday.  One said she will come, two said they will let me know (which usually translates to they won't be able to make it). and one has already said she won't be able to come.

Today, I tidied and dusted the living room, dining area, and family room. I was planning to vacuum, today, but, decided to wait until tomorrow or, even, Friday.  I also did the dishes and wiped down the kitchen counters, etc.

In between, I worked on a jigsaw puzzle, online!

Today, I am grateful for:
- Rain for the garden
- Not having to drive in the rain
- Chatting on the phone with my sister
- The cleaning I was able to do
- On-line jigsaw puzzles

My joyful activity for the day was doing the jigsaw puzzle.

Thursday's To Do List:
- Vacuum
- Tidy my desk/dust my bedroom
- Paperwork/filing

How was your Wednesday?  What are your plans for Thursday?

    1. It was fun! Today, it is partly sunny/partly cloudy and warmer. Hope you stay warm (and give that lovely baby of yours a cuddle from me, please.)

  2. I like doing jigsaw puzzles but prefer a real one rather than online. Of course, I don't have a Dancer to 'help' me so the pieces stay where I put them! It's almost time to start the Christmas jigsaw puzzle, a family tradition where any visitors help to complete it. All my siblings still do this, it's the one tradition we've all kept.

    1. My daughter, too, prefers the real ones. I am OK with the online ones and, as you say, no Dancer to help! I like your tradition of doing a Christmas puzzle, but, I won't be able to keep it out, of course. Enjoy working on your puzzle!

  3. It's returned to being grey and wet here today. I love a jigsaw, real or online, although they can be a little addictive. X

    1. Yes, they can be addictive! We are having a little break in the weather - partly cloudy, but, partly sunny, too.

  4. I hope you soon recover completely at this busy time. Good that you didn't overdo things.
We are recovering from airport ordeals on Monday/Tuesday (actual flying was fine). After around 30 hours since arriving at the first airport, our connecting airport was in chaos due to new software - a plague on new software systems, I say! We were very fortunate to get a replacement at all for our missed connection. At one point we were told we would have to wait a day. But we got home, visiting DS and family on the drive out, and now our problems are staying upright on the icy snow! All is clean and white and peaceful!

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. Oh, your airport experience sounds like a real nightmare! But, at least you got a connecting flight back, the flight itself was good, you got to visit your DS and family, and now you are home, safe and sound! Yes, please do be careful in the icy snow!

  5. Hi Bless, Yes it was rainy, wasn't it? Today the sun is shining. Lula and I took a bike ride, and I chatted with my neighbor for a while. I need to clean the fridge.

    1. Yes, it is sunny, today, although, we still have a lot of clouds. I need to clean the fridge, too, before the almsgiving, but, today, I need to take Dancer to the vet as he has been throwing up, in the night and this morning.

  6. so glad you feel better ... the 'yucks' are annoying- I know rainy days aren't 'fun in the sun' days, but I am always so glad to see your area is having a good 'watering down' with all the anxieties about fires there- we tend to have many wet days here, so every year I buy a 'funny' new pair of rain boots to make it more pleasant to slog in and out feeding our outdoor critters (horses, a goat, yard kitties, etc) ... I've had smiley face boots, M&M boots, donut boots, and this year I got boots with candy canes ... I don't need a new pair yearly, but they are fun and there is always a g'daughter who wants the pair from the previous year- little things can make uncomfortable weather a lot nicer-
stay well- all fond wishes your way-
