June Monthly Photo Challenge: Broken

The monthly photo challenges are hosted by Eileen and the theme chosen for June was Broken.

Here are the photos I took for this month's challenge:

An Egg

Tea Cup Handle

Blue and White Vase

Pendant of a vine covered elephant my daughter made

Jade Candle Holder

And last, but, not least:

A Chocolate Chip Cookie

Thank you, Eileen, for hosting the monthly photo challenge.  I have enjoyed participating in this month's photo challenge.  I am not a photographer and have only my cell phone camera, but, I'm truly enjoying taking these photos for the monthly challenge.

The theme for July is Black and White, I believe, if anyone else wants to participate in the monthly photo challenge.  The rules are few and simple - all photos must be taken during the month (no archival photos) and there has to be a minimum of five (5), but, no maximum.

  3. I really like that egg photo, too. By the way, for the first time I found a double yolk in one of our neighbours' eggs last week and today I found another one!

  4. Great photos. I'm a little sad to see all the broken things though.

    1. Thank you, Sharon. Yes, too many broken things and I am still holding on to them, which is probably even sadder!
Please consider joining in the July monthly photo challenge; the theme is Black and White.

    1. Thank you, Lady Ella. We are hoping that we can glue the candle holder together. The cookie didn't stay broken for long! LOL.

  7. First of all I want to say that you have many broken things. Aside from the cookie and the egg, you have many broken things.
Not that that is a bad thing because I've been known to keep broken things and have in my home currently broken things that have been consciously kept in that condition.
My favorite this month is the blue and white vase. The piece missing looks almost intentional. It's nice and old and I love it.

    1. You are right, Debra; I've many broken things in this house! Some are kept because they still work, some are kept thinking I can repair them, and others are kept because I am not quite ready to part with them! The broken blue & white vase is actually in the shed at this time, waiting to be used in the garden as an ornament or to be broken up into shards to decorate the stepping stones my daughter is intending to make one of these days!

  8. I love this selection of broken things, Bless. How do you have so many? It was a good choice for the monthly challenge and, as I'm for ever playing catch up, it will be a couple of days before I post my photos. You're correct - the July challenge theme is 'black and white', chosen by Joy.

Thanks for taking part in the monthly challenge. xx

    1. Thank you, Eileen. I've too many broken things, don't I? I just hold on to things, I guess. You take your time and post your pictures as and when you feel up to it. I'm currently side lined by a sciatica flareup, myself.
I'm hoping to get some good photos for July's theme. I do enjoy these monthly photo challenges. :)
