| More Groceries |
I put in an order for a grocery delivery on Saturday and it was delivered on Sunday. I wanted a few items I didn't buy from the ethnic store earlier in the week, including 4 lb. packages of sugar that was on sale during the weekend only and a free pound of butter. I received everything I ordered, other than a quart of milk. The shopper sent me a picture of the dairy section showing the bare shelves where the milk should have been. But, the store had daughter's half and half and we were happy about that.
I bought half and half, chicken drumsticks, lettuce, carrots, bread, tortillas, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, and sparkling water.
Here's the receipt:
Order Summary
Item Details
18 Items
Other Fees
$0.60
Total = $57.80
June Grocery Budget (for food items only) = $250 - $26.13 (spent on the last day of May) = $223.87
Spent to date = $59.60 + $57.80 = $117.40
Balance left in June Grocery Budget = $223.87 - $117.40 = $106.47
I had better ease up on the grocery shopping for a bit, or else, I'll run out of grocery money before the month is over!
As akways, I am grateful for:
- The availability of most grocery items
- Being able to order groceries online and have them delivered
- Weekly sales and coupons
- Being able to stock up when things are on sale
- The occasional splurge items
How are you coming along with your grocery shopping this month?
