  1. I've never had jujubes before or even seen them to buy. Some how I see a jujube tree ending up in your yard soon. :)

    1. Well, I do admit I saved a few of the seeds to see if I could get them to germinate! :D

  2. I'm wishing for a fairy godmother to show up and cook for us for a week, but in the meantime I bought a frozen tourtiere which I love and that will do for tonight and some will be portioned and frozen for another time. I'm glad your daughter really enjoys the smoked sausage, as I notice you already enjoy it in stir fries fairly regularly.

    1. Oh, my daughter and I were talking about having a personal chef, just the other night! Wouldn't that be lovely? The frozen tourtiere sounds like a good alternative (and probably costs less than a personal chef!). Daughter prefers the smoked sausage cooked by itself (she's not a big fan of stir frys); I like stir frys as they enable me to get more vegetables into my diet and also, extend the sausage and cut down on the saltiness. :D

  3. I've never heard of jujubes before. I'm off to Google them now :)
I've managed to achieve my meal planning goals for the last few weeks. It makes things much easier for me, especially Monday to Friday. Xx

    1. They have an apple like texture, but, the taste is different.
Well done on your meal planning! Anything to help with the busy work days is a good thing, isn't it? :)

  4. I don't know about jujubees either. Other than the candy when we were kids. Do you remember them?

    1. We did have a candy we called jujubes when I was a child - it was a little like a fruit gem, with a gelatin like center coated in sugar. In fact, I found a video online with directions how to make them and I think I might give it a try. :)
