Yet Another Grocery Delivery!

October Groceries Part 3:  10/11/26

Yes!  I ordered more groceries on Saturday evening to be delivered on Sunday morning.  Mostly because I wanted to buy more sugar at the  "pick up and delivery only" sale price of $1.99/4 lb. package.  This time, however, several of the items I ordered were out of stock.  The out of stock items included store brand vanilla ice cream, store brand cranberry juice, and the sugar.  There was no indication, at the time of ordering, that any of these items were low in stock as sometimes happens when I order.  But, I guess in the time between ordering and shopping, these items were sold out!  I watched a video someone had posted online about empty shelves at their Kroger store in a Midwestern state and I wondered if our store shelves were empty, too.  Anyway, I am thankful I received the items I did receive!

Here's the receipt:

My total came to $19.31

Going through the receipt, I noticed that I had not been charged for the package of bacon, which was on sale for $3.99 for 12 oz.  I knew from past experiences that the store would simply say to keep the bacon.  So, that's what I'm doing!

My October grocery budget is $250.

Spent to date:  $43.94 + $68.71+ $19.31 = $131.96

Balance left: $118.04

I am honestly not planning to order any more groceries in the next couple of days!

I cooked a curry with the tray of chicken I purchased in this order and froze some of it for later.  The bacon has been frozen, too.

Are you noticing any empty shelves in your grocery store?
