I did a little knitting, today, and took this picture:
WPSH Prompt #1: In the Bag |
Winter Photo Scavenger Hunt, prompt #1: In the bag.
I tried to take a nap in the afternoon, but, I couldn't fall asleep. I just lay there on the sofa and watched news.
In the evening, I had my tea and took the last two Tylenol tablets I had, as I felt achy. I will have to buy some more, tomorrow. I should also start the car tomorrow, as I haven't started it at all this week!
Cousin P called later in the evening and we chatted a bit. We've been invited to a birthday party for a member of the extended family, tomorrow evening, but, I told her I don't think I will go, especially since I am not feeling 100% well. I don't want to get a relapse or get anyone else sick, either.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Feeling a little better, especially in the morning
- Another restful day
- Another sunny day
- Being able to do some knitting
- No shortage of news to watch!
Plans for tomorrow include:
- Starting the car
- Going to buy some Tylenol
- Change bed sheets
- Do a load of laundry
How was your day? What are your plans for Friday?
I hope you feel a bit better today. It's good you are taking it easy.
ReplyDeleteI have the same situation with my car as you do. I often don't use it for days and just the other day, my battery was dead ( then it had been over a week since I used it).
It's an older car with an original battery so I've taken to hanging the spare car key on the front door bolt lock. That way I see it when I unlock the door to go outside and at least start it and let it run for 10 minutes or so.
Today I am meeting a couple friends for a coffee so the car will get used.
Thank you, Debra. I hate being sick!
DeleteI've had the car battery die on me, a couple of times, so try to start the car every 2 or 3 days. I started it this morning and it started without any problems, so, I am glad! I will go shopping for Tylenol and cough syrup, later this afternoon.
Hope you have a lovely time with your friends. :)
Great photo to get you started on the hunt.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you are feeling a lot better. Just don't overdo things and have a relapse! It's not long now until your daughter is home again so you want to be back to normal for her arrival x
Thank you, Eileen.
DeleteYes, I'm taking it easy, as I don't want a relapse! Neither my daughter nor I want to be sick over the holidays!
Feel better
ReplyDeleteThank you, Regine.
DeleteI hope you feel better soon, Bless.
ReplyDeleteYour WPSH #1 is very similar to mine. 😊
Thank you, Nil. Well, you know what they say about great minds thinking alike. :)
DeleteColds seem to enjoy going through a whole range of symptoms as if they are making a production of it all. I hope that the end of it is in sight and not a grand finale, either! I know what it is like to try to nap and just not drop off at all, so I sympathize, but at least you were resting.
ReplyDeleteI stayed home today, I didn't feel like more shopping, but I did walk up the road to the mailbox and met the local nuisance dog, who seems to have calmed down at last, no jumping up (he's huge). I think we can be friends after all!
I hope mine will be gone soon, Bushlady. I broke down and bought some cough syrup, today!
DeleteI'm glad the local nuisance dog seems to have calmed down! I like dogs, but I give them a wide berth, now, after my neighbor's dogs attacked me, that time!
Hi Bless, That was wise to stay home and rest. I was feeling slightly off, too, but after washing my hair I feel fine. Maybe it was energetic. I am mopping my floors and knitting this afternoon. The laundry is drying in the sunshine on the clothesline, and I cooked a cauliflower cheese casserole earlier this morning.
ReplyDeleteSend me some of that energy, Stephenie, please! I'm ready for this cold to leave me!
DeleteThere is never a convenient time to have a cold! Having one around the busy holiday season is even more annoying though- I always feel absolutely picked on and quite sorry for myself (NOT condusive to getting better and certainly not a mature approach at all)- fortunately I am about as delicate as a moose, so I seldom get ill (let's see how long that lasts ... brag about something and fate usually intervenes)-
ReplyDeleteWhat are you knitting ... that is a wonderful color, so I hope it is something pretty for you-
Paige is feeling better every day since her surgery- she is up and about and eager to get all her path results, so she can move forward with all this- Whitney is maintaining well with her continued chemo and stays glad it is keeping her at a 'status quo' for now- thanks to you and all who continue to think of and pray for them-
Fondest regards- get well soon-
Barb
I hate getting a cold! I'm hoping I'll get over this one before my daughter comes home, next week!
DeleteI'm knitting a sweater for myself.
Glad to hear that Paige is recovering well and Whitney is maintaining well. Hope you are holding up well, too, Barb. I'm sure it's not easy for you.
