Hi, You have a lovely dining rm table and I so enjoyed the photo with an embroidered tablecloth and so traditional bowl of lemons. Does Dancer know it's best to leave lemons to his humans?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you might tell us about cultivating 'non attachment?' It's an unfamiliar term, surely not to avoid relationships with people and unexpected acts of kindness [or mess ups].
BTW, I was 'required' to meet with a nurse practitioner nutritionist [required to meet hospital release requirements and also gets me two hours of home care each week]. She did a great job of delivering info and I wished I could forward her enthusiasm for vegetables to your table :). She gave me a handful of samples of various products that help remove tape adhesives from skin. I hope something works because my skin is getting sore frm my attempts to remove disgusting tape lines.
Hon, thank you. Dancer is not interested in the lemons (or fruits in general) and leaves them alone.
DeleteNon-attachment is a Buddhist concept which basically maintains that our attachments (to people, places, things, even experiences) lead to clinging and craving which lead to suffering and sorrow, since nothing is permanent and lasts forever, everything is subject to change, and we experience loss of what we are attached to. The anti-dote to attachment is cultivating non-attachment or letting go.
I'm glad you were required to meet with a nurse practitioner nutritionist and you receive two hours of home care each week. Sounds like your health case system is a lot different than ours.
Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Live and Learn! I'll need it!
