The theme for November's Monthly Photo Challenge, hosted by Eileen at A Bracelet of Days, was "Tools for Hobbies"; specifically the tools/equipment used for hobbies and interests. These are the pictures I took:
 |
| Knitting Needles and Stitch Holder |
 |
Crochet Hooks (including my mother's steel crochet hook which is a bit bent with use) |
 |
| Stylus, Bead Tray, Glue and Drills (or "Diamonds") |
 |
| Paint Brushes, Paints, Palette |
 |
| Decorative Edged Scissors, Paper, Stencils, Glue Sticks |
 |
| Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks |

| Mixing Bowl, Measuring Cups and Spoons, Whisk |

| Vases, Kenzan, Secateurs |
 |
Pot, Trowel, Seed Packets, Watering Can, and Gloves (peeking from behind the seed packets)
|

| Pins, Needles, and Notions |
The only thing I can say is, I have too many hobbies and interests!
Thank you, Eileen, for another fun monthly photo challenge theme. Looking forward to December's theme!
I love these pics and the measuring cups are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou make good use of your time.
Thank you, Lyssa. Those measuring cups make me smile every time I use them. :)
DeleteYou can never have too many hobbies. :)
ReplyDeleteI think this has been my favorite set of photos for a photo challenge, so far.
Thank you, June. I do enjoy my crafts and hobbies. :)
DeleteHa ha, we share many hobbies. Although I forgot about gardening, that's more of a lifestyle than a hobby for me!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Gardening is a good lifestyle. :)
DeleteWhat a diverse selection of tools - what a crafty lady you are
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm a very crafty lady! LOL.
DeleteGreat job on the photo challenge! Having many hobbies is a good thing. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha. :)
DeleteNo such thing as too many hobbies and interests! As long as you are fulfilled, and have time and energy to do them justice.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lady Ella. Sometimes, I feel like I don't have enough time for all the hobbies, but, that's okay. :)
DeleteWhat a good idea for a photo challenge. I think I once used to own a Kenzan but I'm not sure where it is now. I guess I must have gone back to the "stick it in a vase" form of flower arranging!
ReplyDeleteI really liked this theme because I knew I had a lot of tools and equipment I used for my crafts. :)
DeleteAll of these items clearly bring you much joy. I've recently been introduced to glue guns - they're fantastic! :)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy doing my crafts. And I love my hot glue gun!
DeleteOoops - I started a reply and then hit something and it disappeared. Apologies if you get this (or part of it as I wasn't finished) twice.
DeleteI really enjoyed this post and seeing all your crafty bits.
The flower frog is a nice old one. You call it a kenzan?
I have not heard of that word. It certainly is a nice old one.
Those measuring cups are cute!
No worries. I've only had this one comment from you on this post, Debra.
DeleteI've too many crafty bits! I didn't take any pictures of my sewing machine, the embroidery hoops, the punch needle, etc. Like I said, too many hobbies!
Yes, the flower holder is one that is used in Japanese flower arranging and it is called a kenzan. I don't really know how to do Japanese flower arrangements, but, every now and then, I try. :D
I bought the measuring cups at the dollar store several years ago. I bought a couple of sets and gifted one to my daughter's friend and daughter said she saw them on display at her friend's apartment when she was there last week.
