The Weekend

Rosemary Blossom

The rosemary plant in the front garden is flowering and the bees are loving it:

Bee Enjoying the Nectar

We had a sunny and warm weekend with the highs in the 80s (F).  But, there is a cool down and even some rain in the forecast, so I'm enjoying these days of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Daughter had received the okay from her physical therapist to start driving again, so she practiced driving a bit on both days, just going around the block a couple of times, each day.  She does not like driving and finds it anxiety-inducing, but, she is a good, careful driver.

I am continuing with my daily walking.  I walked for 20 minutes on Saturday and for 25 minutes on Sunday.

On Saturday, I sorted through and organized some of my sewing supplies.  My daughter returned my sewing basket after using it for several years and I put all my hand-sewing supplies, including embroidery thread, in it.  I put all my machine sewing supplies in another plastic basket.  I did some mending on both days and on Sunday, I did some patchwork piecing, as well.

This weekend, I am grateful for:

- Sunny, warm days
- Daughter has been given the okay to start driving again
- Time to relax
- Time to sew
- Daughter's help with various tasks around the house

The weekend's joyful activities have included walking, reading, and sewing.

Plans for Monday include having another donations pick up, laundry, taking the trash cans to the curb, and meal planning for the week.  Maybe some cooking, too.

How was your weekend?  What are your plans for the week?
