Pasta?
Leftovers
Or something entirely different!
How is your meal planning coming along?
As we are off to Scotland at the weekend, I want to eat up all tye fresh stuff. I cooked a large chicken on Saturday and that's providing the basis for our meals this week. The carcase went into the slow cooker and has made a rich stock for soup.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very good plan to me, Angela. One large chicken can provide lots of meals. :)
DeleteYour plan was a success and you ate what you felt like eating on the day, sort of what I do so don't make a plan for the week.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did eat what I felt like eating on each given day, but, sometimes, the leftovers dictate what I eat during the week! And this week, the leftovers say I must finish the turkey soup! :D
DeleteIn short, not very well :) Although I do have a delicious curry in the slow cooker, all ready for when I finish work this evening. I must remember to put together a plan later. X
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of your slow cooker curry. Hope the rest of the week's meals will be easy to plan and prepare. :)
DeleteI don't see food from S in your plan. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, mustn't count on it, June, but, between you and me, there might be some home-dipped chocolate covered strawberries coming my way, later, today! :D

Thank you, Regine. :)
DeleteOh my goodness, your meal plan just reminded me that I have a stockpot with turkey remains down in the old fridge in the basement, and I have to deal with it, taking off the meat and throwing out the bones and skin and making soup with the stock and meat! Turkeys seem to go on forever and ever, but at least I did get as far as taking off the rest of the meat and simmering the bones.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the turkey remains are in the fridge, it should be fine for a day or two, Bushlady. :) I'm enjoying my turkey and vegetable soup. :)
DeleteI started on a meal plan but got distracted so need to get back to it! There's enough in the freezer to keep me going so I'm not too worried.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you can wait for a week or so to get back to meal planning. :)
DeleteI like the "something entirely different" category. You can't be off plan with that as an option.
ReplyDeleteKeema curry is new to me - I had to look that up and I see it is a ground meet curry. It sounds very good.
Ha, ha, I thought it was a good category to add to the meal plan! :D I like keema curry - you make it with any type of ground meat (or, even a vegetarian version, if preferred). It's a good way to stretch ground meat! :)
