Happy New Year!

Milk Rice to Greet the New Year

Happy New Year to all my blog friends!  May 2020 be a joyful year of good health, happiness, and prosperity!

  1. I know Kiribath is a traditional Sri Lankan dish. But what do you serve with it, Bless? In Sweden they have a sweet rice pudding at Christmas.

    1. Angela, kiribath (milk rice) may be served with a spicy onion sambol and/or a curry such as fish curry, chicken curry, etc. It may also be served with jaggery (a type of palm sugar) or any other type of sugar, which is how my daughter prefers it. Occasionally it is served in the form of a small mound with a sweet filling of coconut cooked in palm treacle for a special treat!
