Monthly Photo Challenge - September: Blue

Blue is the theme for September's monthly photo challenge, hosted by Eileen at A Bracelet of Days.

These are my finds for this theme:

Plumbago Flowers

Blue Skies

A Blue Car

Blue Plush Toy

Recycling Bin

Asiatic Dayflowers Commelina communis

I thought I would be able to take more photographs of blue objects, but, these were all I took.  I hope to do better in October.  Thank you for hosting the monthly photo challenge, Eileen.  I wonder what October's theme will be?

  2. Even if you didn't get as many blue photos as you had hoped, you got a nice assortment.

  3. You take such amazing photos. I particularly loved the plumbago - you don't really see it here and it looks spectactular

    1. Thank you, Lyssa. Plumbago grows well in our climate and it is drought tolerant.

    1. Thank you, Celie. There is a slightly darker blue plumbago and I am thinking of buying a plant for the front garden.

    2. I'll come along with Bless, and introduce ourselves. Save two seats please! I think maybe just after the main course, as a little birdie said there will be banana pudding. I have never tried it but what's not to like? And I agree Nana Diana should put her feet up so you three can keep chatting afterwards, and I'll help clear everything away, take dishes indoors and get started with the washing up. I'll find someone to help dry up as we go.

    3. Lady Ella, it would be lovely to have you come along with me and I am sure you will like banana pudding. I am sure Nana Diana will love it if you'll help with clearing everything afterwards. :)

Racheld, look for both Lady Ella and me to join you at your table for dessert! :D

    4. What a treat that will be!! I'll love meeting you all, and hope you'll enjoy that famous Southern dessert, "Nanner Puddin.' " It's a big Bubba of a Trifle, with layers of vanilla wafers and sliced bananas between slathers of alternating Creme Anglaise and whipped cream.

    5. ...and I never realised it was a health food. So much the better... extra large portion for me please! (Maybe some chocolate shavings on the top?)

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. Apparently, the plant is edible, but, I have never eaten it (and, to be quite honest, since it grows more or less as a ground cover, I'm not sure if I'd want to try it!)

  8. Six good photos are still six good photos! (I know someone who used to post 20, 25, 30... per month. Some people just don't know when to stop!) My fave is the last one. How cute!

  9. I didn't find 'blue' as easy as thought I would so I think you've done well this month. Hopefully you'll find plenty of patterned things to share with us in October. I love the plumbago flowers ... they are beautiful.

Thanks for joining in, Bless. xx

  10. You got some nice pictures with a variety of shades of blue.
What a bright blue sky in that photo as well as a bright shade of blue on the car.
I love the last picture with the fragile little blue flower.

    1. Thank you, Debra. Later, I realized I could have taken a picture of a blue vase that I have, but, never mind. I've shown it in various other posts.
