Monthly Photo Challenge: November - Tools for Hobbies

The theme for November's Monthly Photo Challenge, hosted by Eileen at A Bracelet of Days, was "Tools for Hobbies"; specifically the tools/equipment used for hobbies and interests.  These are the pictures I took:

Knitting Needles and Stitch Holder

Crochet Hooks (including my mother's steel
crochet hook which is a bit bent with use)

Stylus, Bead Tray, Glue and Drills (or "Diamonds")

Paint Brushes, Paints, Palette

Decorative Edged Scissors, Paper, Stencils, Glue Sticks

Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Mixing Bowl, Measuring Cups and Spoons, Whisk

Vases, Kenzan, Secateurs

Pot, Trowel, Seed Packets, Watering Can, and
Gloves (peeking from behind the seed packets)

Pins, Needles, and Notions

The only thing I can say is, I have too many hobbies and interests!

Thank you, Eileen, for another fun monthly photo challenge theme.  Looking forward to December's theme!

And last, but, not least, Dancer wanted me to take a photo of the pattern of stripes on his head and paws!  He jumped up on the coffee table and meowed at me when I was taking the pictures of the blue and white china pieces.  He loves to pose for pictures and I used to try an incorporate a picture of him in previous photo challenges.

There you are!  A "baker's dozen" of photos for October's "Pattern(s)" themed photo challenge.

Thank you, Eileen, for hosting the Monthly Photo Challenge.  Looking forward to the theme for November.

Monthly Photo Challenge: June - Fruit

The theme for June's Monthly Photo Challenge that Eileen at A Bracelet of Days is hosting, was "Fruit".

I decided to limit myself to homegrown fruit.  Here are my finds for this challenge:

Homegrown Lemons

Peaches on the Tree

Strawberries

Plums Starting to Ripen

Ripening Plums

Freshly Picked Plums

Passionfruit on the Vine (Nor Ripe Yet)

And, last, but, not least:

Tomato (which is, botanically, a fruit)

Thank you, Eileen, for this opportunity to participate in the monthly photo challenge.

July's theme is "Number(s)" with the added challenge of a different source for each number.  Eileen has posted the challenge rules on her blog (a minimum of five photos taken during the month, no upper limit) if anyone reading this post is interested in joining in the monthly photo challenge in July.

Monthly Photo Challenge - October: The Changing Season

The Changing Season was the theme for October's Photo Challenge, hosted by Eileen.

I found this to be a very challenging theme to photograph!  In my part of the world, October is not a big season of change and even though I complain about how cold it is in the house in the mornings, the day time highs have been in the 70s, 80s, and even the 90s.  Even our daylight savings time doesn't change until November.

But, if you look really closely, you might be lucky and find a leaf or two changing color:

Peach Leaf

Plum Leaf

Bauhinia Leaves

Actually, the bauhinia tree is showing quite a bit of change:

Fallen Bauhinia Leaves
(the twisted branches hugging the bauhinia tree trunk are
the branches of my rosemary plant)

Leaves are not the only thing changing color in my garden:

Lemons Changing Color

It's the season for lemons to ripen and change color from green to yellow:

Inside the house, it is the season to change decorations!

Dancer says he doesn't know anything about a changing season; all he changes are his favorite napping spots:

Napping on the Sofa

Napping on the Bed

A lot of the changes in my home and garden during this changing season were small, but, there were changes to be found.

Thank you, Eileen for hosting October's Monthly Photo Challenge.  I had fun participating in it.
