And there you have it!  I didn't follow the meal plan to the letter, but, I mostly selected from the options I had listed with some changes.

On to this week's meal plan options!  Here are the options for August Week 3:

Brunches:  Scrambled eggs and toast (Monday); French toast; fried egg and cold cuts sandwiches; hamburgers; Waffles or pancakes with bacon and blueberry compote; leftovers

Dinners: Stringhopperswith  chicken curry and garbanzo beans (chick peas) curry;  Rice with chicken curry, kale, moringa curry, and garbanzo beans curry;  Burritos (from the freezer); Tortillas and chicken curry; leftovers

Snacks/Desserts:  Fruit, protein shakes, yogurt, ice cream, cookies

Those are the planned options.  We might stick to these options or go off them, depending on how things work out.  I am planning to order some groceries mid-week (just waiting to see what this week's specials will be, before I order anything).  The meal plan options might change based on what I buy, too.

As always, I am grateful for being able to make meal plan options and being able to go off plan as the mood strikes me.  It's truly a blessing to be able to do so.B

How about you?  Are you making any meal plans this week?

  1. I don't have any specific meal plans for this week except one day my son and I will be doing some batch cooking. One possibility is a green bean and potato dish to use the recently harvested green beans.

    1. That sounds good, June. I didn't get a single green bean from my garden, this year. All the bean plants dried up and shrivelled.

    1. Thank you, Linda. Pancakes are a favorite of mine. I'll eat them with syrup or fruit compote or with a curry. :)

  4. Your meals look delicious. I love cauliflower, and will try your Tuesday stir fry. I assume a mix of curry spices will work for the Sri Lankan spice blend.

    1. Thank you, Celie. Yes, a blend of curry powder, chili powder or flakes, some garlic and ginger, etc. will work very nicely. :)

  5. It all looks and sounds good. Sorry about the dental work. I had gum surgery a year ago and had a hard time eating. Nothing but soft foods for several weeks. Lots of scrambled eggs, apple sauce. It got pretty boring, but I was so swollen it was hard to do much chewing. Curious though how do do left over pancakes? That's not something I've ever done. Do they heat well in the microwave? Wish I had thought about that when I had my dental work...it never occurred to me.

    1. Thank you, Sandy. Dental work, especially gum surgery can be so painful! I hope you don't need to have more dental surgery done in the future. Yes, pancakes warm up nicely in the microwave. :)

    1. Thank you, Lyssa. :) I'm planning to do some batch cooking this weekend - but, even with a fan going on in the kitchen, it's too hot to cook!
