And that was how the week's meals turned out to be. I went off the plan a little bit, but, it worked out quite well. I found it difficult to keep track of our snacks, especially what daughter snacked on, but, I made sure that we had some fruit each day.
Moving on to this week, here's my meal plan for August Week 2:
Brunches: Uppuma (Monday), French toast with bacon (Tuesday); toasted bagels with butter, tuna or egg salad sandwiches, chicken curry sandwiches; salads; cereal and milk, maybe waffles?
Dinners: Kimbap (Korean rice roll/daughter; Monday), hamburger patty with rice and ketchup (me; Monday); Sauteed chicken with boxed pasta mix, broccoli, and leftover garlic bread; Fried rice; Ramen noodles, shrimp curry with rice and cucumber salad; Leftovers; or something else!

That is the plan. We might or might not go off the meal plan. I know that daughter is planning to get together with some friends over the weekend, so she might have dinner with them.
How about you? Are you making a meal plan for this week?
I enjoy seeing your meal plan post.
ReplyDeleteI'm not doing a very good job here. Husband has some dietary restrictions now and it's really throwing me off course. I have to rethink things a little
Thank you, Sharon.
DeleteIt's hard to meal plan to accommodate dietary restrictions. Maybe if you do a search for recipes that accommodate those dietary restrictions, you might be able to find some inspiration.
I still maintain my meal plan is merely a suggestion and is always subject to change. Your meals sound very good and of course you needed the cinnamon rolls celebration.
ReplyDeleteI like the concept of it being a suggestion, Anne. I tried doing a strict meal plan, but, it rarely worked out for me and then, I felt like a failure. Options or suggestions are much better. :)
DeleteAh, yes, the cinnamon rolls were much needed! They were delicious!
My meal plan is to clear the fridge! I think it's mushroom & cheese omelette with coleslaw tonight and then on Thursday...pizza from next door? We're leaving on Friday for a week away
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good plan to me, FD. :) I hope you have a wonderful week away.
DeleteNot a detailed meal plan here except to eat at home more. Even if I take snacks in the car, if I get hungry while we're out, I don't want to wait until we get home to have lunch or whatever. But, I'm aware and working on it. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm often tempted to get food to go (still not eating out) when I am out and about, especially if my daughter is with me. I've already had two take out meals, so far, this month. It does give me a break from cooking, though. :D
DeleteYou've made some delicious and healthy choices there, Bless.
ReplyDeleteNo meal planning for me, this week. I'll start again on Tuesday ;)
Thank you, Jules.
DeleteEnjoy your week off from meal planning. :)
