I felt better, today, even though the air quality was still considered unhealthy. I had the air purifiers running all night and all morning, until noon. Then, I turned them off and, later, I vacuumed their filters. I didn't open a window, however, until much later in the evening, and, even then, only for about an hour.
Today, I dusted the living room, practiced the piano (no piano lesson, this week), did some knitting, watered the front garden, started the car, called neighbor T to check on her (she forgot to call me for our usual Sunday chat, yesterday), swept the bathroom, cleaned the litter box, and took the trash cans to the curb. Brunch was leftover boiled cassava from yesterday, followed by a fresh fruit salad (golden kiwi, apple, grapes) in the late afternoon. Dinner was a scrambled egg and bacon on toast. I rather like having breakfast for dinner!
Daughter sent me more of her drawings for the Inktober prompts. Day 1 had been the koi fish.
Day 2: The prompt was "wisp". I would have drawn a wisp of smoke. She drew a character in a video game (Animal Crossing) named Wisp, who is, apparently, a ghost who is afraid of ghosts:
Day 2: Wisp |
Day 4: Radio |
Day 5: Blade |
Tomorrow's prompt is "rodent"; I wonder what she'll draw. Somehow, I don't think it will be a rat! LOL.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Feeling better
- Being able to breathe!
- The car started without any trouble
- Water for the garden
- Being able to share my daughter's drawings
Today's joyful activity was knitting.
Plans for tomorrow include more housework and watering the back garden.
How was your Monday?
I imagine that this ink challenge is a good distraction for your daughter since she hasn't been out for months or with other people. I am enjoying her entries.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Live and Learn. She is enjoying the sketching. :)
DeleteYour daughter's drawings are brilliant. She is a very talented young lady and I'm sure you are proud of her.
ReplyDeleteI like having breakfast for dinner as well and do it quite often.
Thank you, Eileen. Yes, I'm very proud of her. :)
DeleteGood to know that you are feeling better and I hope that continues. Your daughter just has so much talent for dynamic drawings.
ReplyDeleteWe have a complaining squirrel. When I throw out a peanut for the first one, the second keeps out of the way due to being chased ferociously, but then when the first is out of the way, the second one comes over grumbling and muttering as only a squirrel can and takes his peanut with one last grumble!
Thank you, Bushlady.
DeleteOh, a complaining squirrel! Talk about feeling entitled! LOL!
You do have the most interesting and opinionated visitors to your garden! :D
I love seeing your daughter's drawings and look forward to the rest of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteYour food always sounds good.
Thank you, Debra. :)
