| Saturday Brunch: Cold Cuts Sandwiches and Cherries |
I had posted my July Week 2 Meal Plan Options at the beginning of last week, when my sciatica flare up had just started. Since the sciatica flare up lasted all week (and is still not quite over), daughter was left in charge of preparing the week's meals and I didn't expect her to follow my meal plan options. I also had some groceries, including a few convenience foods, delivered after I made the meal plan options and that changed things a bit, too, which is fine.
For what it's worth, this was the list of Week 2 Meal Plan Options
And here's how it all worked out:
Monday:
Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: Rice and shrimp curry
Dinner : Scrambled egg and toast
Snacks/Dessert: Faluda, dates
Tuesday:

I hope you soon feel better. Sciatica is very painful
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angela. I'm feeling a lot better, today.
DeleteIt all looks very good... All very tempting, well, except for the salmon because I don't like salmon! Your daughter is a good cook too; she's learned from you! Thank you for the condolences. I hope your sciatica keeps improving.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Celie. My daughter is a good cook and she likes to try out new recipes. Yes, I'm feeling much better, today, thank you. I hope you have a safe drive to your sister's and please know that I'm keeping you both in my prayers. (((HUGS)))
DeleteI hope you feel better, being in pain 😢 😠is very uncomfortable. Your meals look scrumptious 😋
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I'm feeling better, today. Only needed one dose of Tylenol the whole day! :)
DeleteEven with your unfortunate sciatica, you still had a good food week.
ReplyDeleteThank you, June. No one, not even the lady who came to help trap the cats, went hungry, that's for sure! This week, though, I've cheated a bit and ordered pizzas for delivery!
DeleteWell doesn't all this food look good.
ReplyDeleteI never thought about putting cheerios style cereal on yogurt but I will now give it a try.
Thank you, Debra. I like having cereal in my yogurt; often it is granola, but, cornflakes, cheerios, etc. also work as far as I am concerned. :)
DeleteP.S. funny that I'm eating a bowl of cherries as I opened your post showing a bowl of cherries :)
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike! Cherries are a summertime treat aren't they?
