The Day After

It's a new day, today.  Each day is a new beginning.  That's one of the nice things about each new day.

There was quite a bit of activity in the bird's nest, this morning.  One of the birds was inside the nest, and although I couldn't see exactly what it was doing, it was quite busy.  I think it was putting the final touches to it.  Perhaps quite literally feathering its nest.  Making a soft and comfortable home for the babies to come.

Speaking of a comfortable home, daughter's housing situation is still not quite resolved to our satisfaction, yet, but we should get an answer, tomorrow.  In the meantime, we are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for the best.  Daughter is making all the arrangements and speaking to the apartment rental management, etc.  According to daughter, being an adult is stressful!

Daughter started her summer internship today and had a good first day.  She had a lot to tell me when we video chatted in the evening.

I had a productive day at the office.  There was a fund raiser for March of Dimes during lunch and I was able to participate in it.  After work, I had a relaxed evening.  I went through today's mail, checked the grocery specials, cleaned the litter box, wrote to a friend, and video chatted with daughter.  Dinner was fried rice made from leftovers - my definition of fast food. All in all, it's been a good day.

Today, I am grateful for:

- Waking up to a new day
- Bird songs
- Words of encouragement from friends
- Challenges that help us to grow
- Having so many things for which to be grateful

Hope you've had a blessed day, too.
