ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. :)
DeleteLooks like a lovely selection of food as always.
ReplyDeleteI have made a meal plan for this week. We'll see how it works out! I'm trying to spend a minimal amount of money and use up some freezer bits.
Thank you, Sharon. Well done making the meal plan; hope you are able to keep to the plan and achieve your goal of keeping the spending to a minimum. :)
DeleteI love it when I have to look up something you have planned, though I have looked up uppuma several time. I do not like cream of wheat but I think I might like your more savory and toasted version.
ReplyDeleteI don't like cream of wheat made with milk like oatmeal, myself. But, I do like the Indian way of making it, which is usually made with semolina. Give it a try and see if you like it. :)
DeleteSome day I'm going to make a meal plan and then promptly not follow it because I know me. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, you do just that, June. It won't be much different than what I do because I still don't follow my meal plan even when I make one! :D
DeleteI have frozen cooked chicken breasts which will be for sandwiches later in the week, and I have frozen fish and frozen pork chops but I didn't feel like thawing anything today. However, I decided to use a can of chick peas and make falafel patties in hamburger buns. The mixture is resting and they will have to be baked later but the AC is on.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have made a bit of meal prep to make it easier later in the week. Can the falafel be cooked in a frying pan on the stove? Although, I suppose it is easier to bake them and if you have the A/C on, it should be fine. :)
DeleteYour meal plan looks good and you have your ducks in a row for your new addition - not really new but you know what I mean ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debra. We went off the plan quite a bit, but, that was OK, too. :)
