Wednesday, August 5: To Do Lists and Productivity

Today's To Do List
I've several to do lists, written in various places.  I have a set of monthly calendar pages, where I write down all the things for the up-coming months, like when various payments are due, appointments, etc.  Then, I have a notebook (pictured above) in which I write down each day's to do list (and doodle!).  Here's what I wrote in my book for today:

- Write to mother's friend/mail - Wrote the letter, will mail tomorrow
- Mail aunt's card - Done
- Post Office for above - Done (had to have the card hand cancelled due to embellishments)
- Bank - Done
- P.M. - Dust - Not Done
- Paperwork - Not Done
- Laundry - Done
- Dishes - Done

In addition, I post a version of my to do list here, on the blog.  Here's what I posted, yesterday, as my to do list for today:

- Go to the office - Done
- Post office to mail card to aunt - Done
- Bank - Done
- Water camellia bush and potted plants - Done
- Paperwork/Filing - Not Done
- Laundry - Done
- Dust bedroom - Not Done

Slight differences between the two, but that's OK.  Most of the items on my lists got done.  The dusting and the paperwork/filing which didn't get done will get carried forward.

In addition to the above, I also video chatted with daughter and wrote an email to a friend.

Today, I am grateful for:

- A drive through the park on my way to and from the office
- Video chatting with daughter
- The sweet fragrance of orange blossoms on my tree
- Hummingbirds enjoying the orange blossom nectar
- A cool evening after the day's heat

How was your day, today?  What was on your to do list?  Were you able to get most of it done?
