No. 4 - Colors: I had posted another picture of a sunset for this prompt, earlier, but, Eileen suggested that this photo, too, would be good for this prompt, so, I'm posting this photo of spring flowers taken at the Japanese Garden:

#4: Colors |
No. 5 - A Garden Gate: This is one of the gates at the Japanese Garden. It looks very similar to the front gate to the garden (which I forgot to take a picture of). Only one half of the front gate is kept open when the garden is open, to intentionally restrict the view of the garden because the garden is meant to be revealed gradually, as one enters and walks through it.

#5: A Garden Gate |
No. 7 - I stood here: This is where I went when I visited the Japanese Garden - it is located at the water reclamation plant and is meant to showcase the use of reclaimed water.
|
#7: I Stood Here |
No. 9 - Solitary: There were many examples of possibilities for this prompt, including some specimen trees, but, ultimately, this goose sleeping on top of its island rock that was just big enough for one, seemed just right. Solitary can be seen as lonely but, sometimes, one can choose to be solitary, for a little peace of mind or an undisturbed nap, and that is what this goose seems to be saying.

#9: Solitary |
No. 12 - Time for tea: I stocked up on my favorite tea and had a cup with some fish patties (similar to empanadas) that I had bought from the Sri Lankan restaurant.

#12: Time for Tea |
No. 16 - A barrier: I had taken another picture, earlier, of a fence in my side yard, for this prompt, but, I thought this chain barrier to keep people off the stonescaped area was good, too.

I still have to find 7 more photos in March. I do have one of the alternates, if necessary, but, I must find a way to get my phone to transfer the pictures, before I can do anything else! It's a bit hard to carry my laptop around to take pictures! LOL.
Lovely photos. I have managed to keep up with my phone photo a day - things that make me smile. I'm really pleased as I am terrible with things like that.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sharon. A photo a day - I'm afraid mine will be mostly of Dancer, as I often take photos of him to send to my daughter! :D
DeletePhoto #12 - That cup of tea looks good and strong. Can you stand up the teaspoon in it? 😄
ReplyDeleteI did two lots of laundry this morning and folded and put away some from yesterday. This afternoon I went grocery shopping and came away with 6 bags full, plus a box of dishwasher tabs without a bag as I used up all my own bags. I needed to stock up, in fact I was out of bread for lunch but discovered some pita bread in the freezer. I filled the halves with slices of tomato and a little red onion, then sprinkled well with parmesan cheese and toasted them in the sandwich maker. Necessity once again proved to be the mother of invention and they were delicious!
Ha, ha, nothing like a cup of strong, sweet tea, to put everything to rights!
DeleteYour pita bread sandwich sounds great!
I think those photos from the Japanese Garden are delightful (heavy sigh for the mere delight of flowers) especially since over the last 2 days we got another 20cm of snow :(
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the flowers in the photos. I'm sure you are getting a little tired of the snow by now. Hope spring comes quickly!
DeleteYour photos are lovely - colour and solitary are still my favourites. Good luck in finding the rest. Let's hope your daughter can sort out your phone for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. I'm so glad that "solitary" worked out so well for the prompt. :)
DeleteLooks beautiful. I love the goose!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephenie. The goose seems to be a favorite! :)
DeleteThat's a very nice collection of photos, Bless. I like them all.
ReplyDeleteI was not very successful in finding photos this month. I also have 7 photos left. :)
Thank you, Nil. Glad you like them. :)
DeleteWe will have to get busy in March to find the rest of the photos, won't we? :)
Your photos this month are great. I always like to see the different things people come up with.
ReplyDeleteOften the prompt can be interpreted in interesting but different ways.
I think my favorite this month is the gate.
Thank you, Debra. It is fun to see what different people come up with for the prompts, isn't it? I had a typical garden gate with picket fence and perhaps a rose covered arch in mind, when I read the prompt, but, I couldn't find such a gate in my neighborhood! So, I went with this Japanese gate, instead. I'm glad you like it. :)
