Better On Wednesday

After sleeping all day, yesterday, I couldn't fall asleep until 1:30 a.m., but that was to be expected, I guess.  But I woke up feeling OK, this morning, and went to the office.  Today was a day of meetings, as there were two meetings and a training session.  In between meetings, I tried to get some work done!

But, I felt tired after I came home, so I took it easy.  I did some crocheting and relaxed.  Later, I cooked rice and a chicken curry for dinner:

Dinner: Rice, Chicken Curry, Cucumber Salad and Tomato Chutney
Today, I was grateful for:
- Waking up feeling rested
- A safe commute to the office and back
- Considerate co-workers
- A relaxed evening at home
- Phone calls from family and friends

How was your Wednesday?  What are your plans for tomorrow?

  1. My Wednesday was a day of two halves. In the morning I went to see one of my favourite TV shows being recorded, all very enjoyable and I'm glad I went. In the adternoon I had to drive home, a trip that should take about three hours but actually took nearer five because of the traffic conditions. I'm shattered today!

    1. Eileen, glad you made it home, safely, even if the drive took longer. Hope you can have a restful day, today.

  2. I need to remind myself to always wear my glasses when reading blogs. I read (at least my eyes read) I did some crocheting rice . . . and was wondering how the heck you crochet rice. Put my glasses on and reread, then it all made sense. Maybe I have them to actually wear when reading?

    1. Ha, ha, Anne. I actually re-read what I typed, just in case I had written that I crocheted rice! Yes, between the crocheted rice and the "bunny" mushrooms in an earlier post, I think reading glasses might be a good thing! I know I need my reading glasses all the time now (unless I really squint) and I am starting to wear them even when I am not reading, as things are less blurry when I am wearing them!

  3. You sound like you had a full day. Your dinner sure looks good though. Please do be kind to yourself and try not to over do it. :)

    1. LOL, Debbie, maybe we'll keep saying that to each other and we might even actually listen and take it easy! :D

  4. I'm not sure how you felt about having a day of meetings. On the one hand, there isn't a lot required of you to do but sit and listen for the most part. Having just taken a sick day due to illness it might have appealed to you to not have many expectations of you. On the other hand, meetings can be so tiring and you can't stop thinking of all the work that isn't being done because you are otherwise engaged. Glad you are feeling better.

    1. The meetings were OK, I enjoy them for the most part, but as I was taking notes during one of them, one of my colleagues leaned over and asked why I was bothering to, since I will be retiring soon! LOL! I don't know why I took notes - habit, I guess!

    1. Thanks, Sharon. Yes, definitely taking it easy! I've a couple of medical appointments coming up and, rather than trying to rush back to the office, I have requested to take the time off.

  6. So glad your day of sleeping paid off. Please tell me the secret of managing to get so much sleep! I could really use it as I seem to have lost the knack. The most I can manage if at all is a brief nap!
I think you took notes in the meeting partly from habit, but also because it is often a good way to reinforce the information that you are hearing.

    1. Bushlady, I am sorry you aren't able to sleep! I think I was able to sleep in that day because I was just so exhausted.
