| The Chickens Invite Themselves to the Cats' Kibble! |
The chickens have discovered that there is a new buffet in town! After several weeks of being out in the garden, they made if up the back steps, earlier in the week, and helped themselves to the cats' kibble!

The next day, they made a bee line to the cats' food and Mochi was the only kitten who was brave enough to eat from the second bowl while the chickens were there. The other two kittens just watched. Fluffy was no where to be seen.
The traps are still there because we are hopping to trap Toro (sitting near the traps) this Friday; we have an appointment with the neutering clinic for Saturday.
The sight of the chickens eating with the cats reminded me of Chicken Little and Mama Cat:

The chickens know who's in charge! I hope you can catch Toro and all goes well at the vet.
ReplyDeleteThe chickens do know who's in charge! LOL.
DeleteThank you, Celie; hopefully, we'll trap the last kitty and all will be well. :)
I hope you manage to catch Toro! Such a fun photo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sharon. The first time we tried to trap the kitties, only the mama cat was trapped. The second time, we managed to trap two of the kittens. Hopefully, the third time will be successful!
DeleteIt must be so much fun to watch the chickens and the cats together!
ReplyDeleteIt is, Bushlady. The cats are very curious about the chickens and will sit and watch them when they are let out. The chickens tend to ignore the cats unless they get a bit too close and then they will squawk at them and the cats will run away!
