  1. I would love to see some of your more simple recipes. Also I would love to learn more about the milk rice on the first of the month. I love your blog.

    1. Thank you, Anonymous. If you do a search for "Cooking with Bless" on the search bar on the blog (upper left corner), you will find a collection of my "recipes" for some of the meals I make, including milk rice. Milk rice is similar to an unsweetened version of rice pudding. Basically, it is rice cooked with water and coconut milk until it becomes thick. One could use dairy milk or any other type of milk, but, coconut milk is what is used traditionally. It is made for all special occasions such as New Year celebrations, weddings, and the first of the month for good luck. One can eat it with savory accompaniments such as sambols and curries or with sweet accompaniments such as jaggery (traditional), brown or white sugar, or even syrup, I suppose (although I've never eaten it with syrup!)
I'm glad you are enjoying my blog, but, please, won't you provide a name at the end of your comment? That would be very helpful.

    2. I need to figure out why my name doesn't show. My name is Kelly and I live in Michigan. We also have/had chickens. We had four, but one died at 8 years (Grace), one at 9 years (Marshmallow) and one at 10 year (Willow). Georgia, our last remaining chicken, is 11 years old and still going strong.

    3. Thank you, Kelly! Wow! Your chickens have had long lives and I really like their names! We are new to having chickens and are still learning how to take care of them! You might have to be logged into your online account for your name to show in your comments or, if you are logged in, when you go to comment, you might have to click on the down arrow next to the "Comment as:" and choose your name; it's possible that you might have "Comment as Anonymous" selected by mistake. Hope that helps.

  2. Lovely food photos. I've got to get back into the swing of things and do the meal planning again. I certainly enjoyed not having to think about it for a while!

    1. Thank you, Linda. Enjoy the food photos while you can because Blogger is not letting me post any new pictures, as of yesterday! My week is going well, so far, thank you. :)

    1. LOL, Bushlady. You'd be most welcome, but, you might want to wait until it is a bit cooler to visit! It was 105F yesterday (with a higher "feels like" temperature) and humid, too, and I don't have air conditioning. :)

  5. Dear friend, I am sorry that Blogger is being so difficult! I haven't noticed about posting photos yet, because I only post twice a week on my blog, but for 2 days now the Blogger news reader has been dead! Not slow, (like it has been in the past), but totally dead! No new blog posts are showing in the news reader at all. I hope they fix these issues.
Thank you so much for all you share, for your friendship and presence!
I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead!

    1. Hi Linda, I was able to post the grocery photo, earlier today, so, that post is now up on the blog if you'd like to read it. :)
As for Blogger, one gets what one pays for, I suppose. I hope that they will fix the issues with the blog reader. What I usually do is look up the different blogs I read and check if there are any new posts. :)
Thank you, Linda, for your kind words. Much appreciated. Hope you have a lovely rest of the week, yourself. :)
