Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

I wish all my blog friends a very happy Thanksgiving!  Even if it not an official day of celebration in your country or your Thanksgiving was observed in October, it is good to have a day set aside to give thanks for all our blessings.

My daughter and I will celebrate this Thanksgiving day with my friend A, her husband, and their daughters as we have done so often in the past, but, in a different setting, under less than ideal circumstances.  We will, nevertheless, give thanks for being able to celebrate one more Thanksgiving together.

    1. Thank you, Angela. We had a good Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for. One of which was your friendship and the prayers you've shared with me. I read those prayers at my friend's bedside, yesterday and today, too. :)

  6. Thank you for your Thanksgiving wishes.
I was thinking about you and your daughter yesterday spending Thanksgiving with your friend and her family as you did so many years before. Not the same, no, but still friendship and caring is what the day is about. I'm hoping you all found what was needed at this time.

  7. Not ideal circumstances at all, but no doubt it is a reminder to give thanks for the years of friendship you share. That we can once again visit people under these circumstances, given that so recently it was not possible, is also really special. I'm sure your caring presence is greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!

  9. I'm sure this Thanksgiving will stand out for you in future as a very special memory of love and thanksgiving for friendship and family.

Yesterday I managed to put together a Christmas door swag which didn't turn out too bad, and today I collected more greenery from some evergreen branches from a couple of trees that DH had cut down a few weeks ago and hadn't moved yet, due to not doing anything strenuous. I put together a simple arrangement in the 2 chimney liners that usually support flower pots either side of the steps. I don't know if I overdid it but I was very happy!! Spent most of the afternoon with my feet up.
