Eileen, at A Bracelet of Days had stated that January's Monthly Photo Challenge will be the letter 'B'. Here are my finds for this month:
B is for Blanket - one that I crocheted, several years ago, when the leftover yarn in my stash needed to be used up and what's a blanket without a kitty napping on it?

B is also for Bare Brown Branches against a Blue Sky:

B is for Broken Tea Cup and Books on a Bookshelf in the Bedroom:

B is also for Bangles and Bracelets: These are the ones that were decluttered from the dresser drawer and will be donated along with a few other items.

B is for Blossoms on the peach tree:

And Bees Buzzing Busily around the peach Blossoms:
Excellent collection of B photos Bless. You should have shown us a picture of you too! I have to say the bridge demonstrated by your daughter looks downright painful to me lol! I was going to say oh to be young again, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't have done that even when I was young anyway!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha. Ha, ha, yes, I should have taken a photo of myself! B for Bless! I forgot! My daughter has the flexibility of an elastic band!
DeleteWhat great photos and those peach blossoms are gorgeous. Neat to catch the bees in and around them, too. I am amazed by your daughter's "bridge". I don't think I was ever able to do anything like that, certainly not now!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bushlady. I was very happy to see the bees visiting the peach flowers - hopefully, they will be pollinated and we might get another good peach crop! I saw a hummingbird visiting the peach flowers, too, yesterday! I don't think I was ever able to do a bridge, myself!
DeleteA great collection of photographs, and Dancer does look very comfortable on that blanket.
ReplyDeleteI remember the days when I could do a bridge. I fear I would do myself some damage if I was to attempt one now :) X
Thank you, Jules. That blanket seems to be a favorite with Dancer! How wonderful that you used to be able to do a bridge!
DeleteWhat a fun challenge. Love all your creative selections for the letter B.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is your broken cup. Not because it's beautiful - it is- and I am very fond of that pattern but because of the Betty (another B!) Neels books I see behind the cup. You have a nice collection of them.
I have enjoyed many of her books. She writes the nicest stories.
Thank you, Debra! Ha, ha, yes, the shelf with the tea cup is full of books by Betty Neels and Barbara (yet another B!) Cartland! I am not allowed to declutter them because my daughter has fond memories of reading them, too! LOL!
Deletep.s. Kudos to your daugher and her flexibility. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteI think I'm just crazy enough to try a bridge to see if I can still do one. I think I will start on the bed so I won't have far to fall.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! But, according to my daughter, a hard surface is better; apparently a soft surface can cause your wrists to over-flex.
DeleteGreat finds, you've really chained those Bs together. That last one reminds me how much I miss my Pilates class.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susanne. My daughter does her exercise classes online - maybe you can find some online Pilates classes?
DeleteBrilliant selection Bless. I love the blossom photos and can't wait for blossom time here.
ReplyDeleteI like the way your fellow residents have supported you by modelling ... a really good bridge by daughter and Dancer perfectly demonstrating how comfortable that blanket is.
Thank you, Eileen. Yes, everyone gets pressed into service when I need photos! :D
