Moving on to October, here's what I have planned for this week:
October Week 1 Meal Plan Options
Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch: Boiled cassava (Monday), French toast, pancakes, uppuma (semolina), tuna or egg salad sandwiches, salad.
Dinners: Chicken stir fry with rice or noodles, soup and toast, "breakfast for dinner", fish and chips.
Snacks/desserts: Fruits, crackers, etc.
We shall see how it works out.
What are your meal plans for the week?
My meal plans for the week are set, yet fluid, since I change my mind often.
ReplyDeleteDo you use a sweet or bitter cassava?
I like how you keep your meal plans flexible. :)
DeleteI guess I use a sweet cassava. They are sold as yuca in the grocery stores here. Most of the time, I buy the whole tubers and peel and cut them, but, this time, I used some of the frozen cassava my friend gave me - it comes already peeled and cut. I boil them in salted water with a little turmeric added (not sure why, but, that's how they used to cook it in Sri Lanka).
I now have a plan for the next month but it's more a list of meals for brunch and dinner, rather than what I'll have on specific days. I've done some of the bulk cooking ready for this and will finish off once the next supermarket delivery is received on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteA list of meals works for me; you can decide what to have on a particular day as you please. I struggle to come up with options for a week; I am awed that you can do so for a whole month at a time! :)
