    1. It's type of guava I have growing in my garden. It is also known as feijoa. :)

    1. Thank you, Stephenie. I try not to waste anything. Occasionally, however, something will spoil before I can eat it!

    1. Thank you, Sharon. I watched some cooking shows on TV, today, and I thought of you because they had a couple of vegetarian meals (or ones that can be made vegetarian by leaving off the meat/fish). One was tacos filled with shredded cabbage and a squash/potato hash, topped with salsa verde. The other was bruschetta topped with cannellini beans (cooked with carrots and celery) - in the show, it was topped with crispy fried pancetta, but, you could omit that. There was also a salad with chick peas (garbanzo beans), celery, olives, red onions, and tuna; I think it would be just fine without the tuna.
