More Stickers on Thursday!

New Sticker!

I had my third piano lesson, today, and received several more stickers!  LOL!

More New Stickers

In addition to my piano lesson, I helped a neighbor pick some lemons from her tree, did two loads of laundry, sorted through my clothes in the dresser and chest of drawers, and put aside a few items to be donated.  I can say that at least three, possibly four, of the dresser drawers have been decluttered completely.  I am by no means a minimalist and there might be still more items in the "decluttered" drawers that can be got rid of, but, I maintain that a dozen pairs of socks and five summer nightdresses aren't too many!  LOL.

Today, I am grateful for:
- Stickers!
- Working appliances (washer, dryer, heater)
- Dancer "helping" again with the puzzle!
- Friends who call and send emails
- Video chatting with my daughter

Today's joyful activity was playing the piano.

How was your Thursday?  What are your plans for Friday?

  1. Keep up the good piano work. I want to see more stickers next week. :)

I recently sorted my sock drawer because it was too full and got rid of a few pair. However, I wear two pair of socks at one time and need a lot, so the drawer remains full.

    1. Thank you, Live and Learn. I'll do my best to earn more stickers next week! :D

Socks and underwear - one should have at least what one would wear during a two week period, I think. That way, if we get behind on doing laundry one week, for whatever reason, we still have enough to go for two weeks without running out of clean socks and undies.

  2. I don't think we ever tire of being given a sticker. 😊

  3. Oooh, lots of stickers, well done. I'm assuming that means you have now moved on to new pieces which will keep it interesting.

Well done on the clothes sorting.

    1. Thank you! Yes, a sticker means I have mastered that piece and can play it without making mistakes or being prompted to pay attention to dynamic markings, etc. Once I receive a sticker, that particular piece is no longer part of my required homework and I may move on to new pieces. :)

Thank you; I am pleased with the clothes sorting I've been able to do over the past couple of days.

  4. Hooray! More stickers. It shows you are really making progress.

And it was good, that she does not hand them out, at every lesson. This way, you know you really *deserved* them. -smile- And that makes, for even more of a feeling of accomplishment.

    1. Thank you, Wisps of Words. Yes, she only gives stickers when I've mastered each piece and can play them without mistakes, etc. Once I receive a sticker, then, that piece is no longer included in my homework to practice daily. :)

    1. I do too, Akasha. :D My daughter laughs at me because I get so excited when I get stickers, but, I tell her that I am a kid at heart!

  6. I absolutely totally lack the 'minimalist gene' ...(although I do try to keep my 'stuff' in something that might vaguely resemble order)- no, I don't approach the situation of hoarding, but I have already apologized to my children for the fact they will have a lot to go through (that's in addition to that whole refrigerator thing) eventually- your socks and summer nightie situation sound quite conservative to me!
The weekend approaches ... I am headed to my house until Monday to do some overdue work in the yard ... then back to Paige's to help out for another week- hope you have interesting plans there-
    As always, fondest regards-

    1. LOL, Barb, I, too, have warned my daughter that she'll have to deal with my stuff when I am gone, but, she's totally fine with it. In fact, when she sees me getting stressed about decluttering, she tells me not to worry about it. She's not half as sentimental as I; she'll have no problem getting rid of things! LOL.

I have minimal amounts of certain clothing items - 3 pairs of sweatpants and 4 sweatshirts (although one of them might get decluttered, during the next go around), 2 pairs of shorts for the summer (for the days when even a skirt is too hot), and so forth. But, then, if I count how many scarves I have, I probably have over a dozen! And that's after I went through them and put aside several to donate!

I hope you have a good weekend, Barb. Make sure you take some time to just relax, too, in addition to doing all the yardwork. I've plans to go to the Sri Lankan store, tomorrow, with my friend (they finally have my tea!) and we might get something to eat from the Sri Lankan restaurant.

      Have a lovely weekend.

  7. Well done Bless! 😃

I draw smiley faces on my students’ tests when they earn an A. I’m going to see if I can get sheets of those stickers, they would love to get stickers.

  8. I'm glad you are doing well at your piano playing and you did well with your decluttering.

It was -20C when I got up this morning. I had breakfast with a friend and we went to church, and back home I cleaned the kitchen counters and washed some sweaters. I also fed the squirrels, a daily duty!

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. :)

Brr! That's cold! I know I did fine with temperatures like that when I lived in Wisconsin, but, I can't imagine doing so, now! You had a very productive day! I am sure the squirrels are very grateful to you for feeding them. The garden cats scratch at the sliding glass door if I am late with their meals! :D
