It is the end of December and Eileen at A Bracelet of Days has posted the December link up for the Winter Photo Scavenger Hunt. She has requested that we post a link to our photos in a comment on her post, so that others can visit the blogs to see them.
Here are my finds for December. I've already posted one or two of them in previous posts, but, all are shown here so that they are easier to locate in one place!
No. 1: in the bag - my knitting (a sweater) in one of the tote bags I sewed for myself.
No 1: in the bag |
No. 2: contrast - what could be more of a contrast than black and white? But, together, the contrasting black and white keys on a piano can create such harmony!
No.2: contrast |
No. 4: colors - the colors of a sunset. I am not sure if this will be my final selection for this prompt, but, for now, I will go with this photo.
No.4: colors |
No. 14: flavor of the month - it has to be peppermint for me! From candy canes to peppermint bark, peppermint is the flavor of December!
No.14: flavor of the month |
No. 15: letters - I bought several sets of wooden blocks with letters, the Christmas my daughter was three years old and learning the alphabet. I hot glued loops made of gold cord to them and decorated the tree with them, that year. I saved a few plain blocks to spell Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and every year since then, the blocks have been set out as part of our holiday decor.
No. 15: letters |
No. 18: a chain - the chains of crystal beads on the chandelier in the dining room, which was a gift from my mother when I remodeled the house, several years ago.
No. 18: a chain |
Are you joining in on the WPSH? It goes on till the end of March, so, there's plenty of time to join if you like! It's a lot of fun and doesn't cost anything, either!
Hehee we both have similar photos for the 1st prompt. 😀
ReplyDeleteI commented on Eileen’s post, but forgot to add a link to mine.
You know what they say about great minds thinking alike. :)
DeleteI'm sure people will be able to find your post through your comment with very little trouble even if you didn't post a link.
Now why didn't I think of the piano for contrast? Great interpretation of the prompts with all your photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. I'm looking forward to taking more pictures in January. :)
DeleteAll fun photos, but the one I like best is "In the bag."
ReplyDeleteThank you, Live and Learn. I put the knitting away, "in the bag" over Christmas and I haven't touched it since! I need to get it out of the bag and start knitting it!
DeleteInteresting and photogenic choices!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing more as we head through the rest of winter.
All the best :)
Thank you, Squirrelbasket. :)
DeleteI enjoy seeing the different things people come up with for their photos.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've started to read Eileen's blog because of this challenge you participate in.
Thanks for letting us all follow along.
It really is interesting to see how different people interpret the prompts, isn't it? Sometimes, we have similar photos (like Nil and I did for the first prompt); at other times, they are quite different.
DeleteI'm glad you've started reading Eileen's blog. I really like her blog. :)
You are welcome, Debra.
By the way, how is the Christmas blanket coming along? Are you still working on it? Or did you finish it?
Stalled - lol
DeleteI've been working on a scarf with larger needles then I typically enjoy working with. It is giving the scarf a nice drape but it's sort of taken all my crafting mojo just to get it done.
Then back to the Christmas Afghan - year 3 haha
Well, it's a long term, on-going project! Like some of my quilt tops! :)
DeleteYou have made a good start with the WPSH. I like your interpretations and look forward to seeing more in due course!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bushlady. I'm looking forward to the January finds!
DeleteAll great finds. I also used Candy Cane as my flavour of the season. Great minds ... I posted my first finds today.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am going to check your post, right now. :)
