Quiet Sunday, Too

I took it easy, again, today. and had a quiet Sunday.  I woke up several times in the early hours of the morning, needing to go to the bathroom.  Apparently my stomach isn't quite recovered, yet.  Or, it didn't like all the fiber from the vegetables in yesterday's soup!

So, I mostly rested and took it easy.  I slept in until mid-morning, when my neighbor's phone call woke me up.  She was checking up on me, as usual.  Had a cup of tea, responded to comments on my blog, read some other blogs, etc., and watched Olympics.

I did wash the covers of one of the two sofas in the family room and hung them up to dry.  I'll do the covers of the other sofa, tomorrow.  I also cleaned my bathroom, did the dishes, and took out the kitchen trash and the recycling.  And I unpicked the covers of the cushions I have on the family room sofas so I could wash them, too.  When I sewed the cushion covers, I didn't attach zippers to them, partly because I am intimidated by the thought of sewing on zippers!  :o  So, I just sewed them closed with an over-and-over stitch.   Which works well, except I have to unpick and sew them back up each time I wash the cushion covers!

It was another hot day, today.  But I didn't feel like going to the bedroom and putting on the a/c (no TV in the bedroom), so I just stayed in the family room with the fans on.  The forecast says it will be 100+ tomorrow, though, so I might retreat to the bedroom tomorrow afternoon.

Today, I am grateful for:

- My neighbor calling to check on me.
- My friend's phone call.
- Another quiet, restful day.
- Getting a few things done.
- The refreshing coolness of iced water.

My to do list for tomorrow include:

- Going to my radiation appointment
- Putting back the washed sofa covers
- Washing the covers of the other sofa
- Taking the trash cans to the curb
- Watering the front garden
- Watering the indoor plants
- Dusting my bedroom

How was your Sunday?  What have you planned for tomorrow?

  1. How about velcro closures for the cushion covers?

I hope it's not too hot for you today. Has your stomach recovered?

    Have a great week, Bless.

    1. Velcro closures is a very good idea! I never even thought of them! I don't know why, except it requires me to go out and buy some.

It is hot, today, too. Too hot to do housework! That's my excuse and I am sticking to it! :D

My stomach is still being fussy. I am getting a little impatient with it.

Thanks, Nathalie. Hope you, too, have a great week.

I had a really good day.. I did not go to church , still wheezing some..but I am definitely better today. I did not really accomplish anything, I made lunch and cleaned the kitchen.. The rest of the day, I just watched tv and laid around..Today [MOnday] i have been doing laundry, sweeping and getting some house work done.
Hope your feeling much better today.

    1. Glad you were able to have a good day, yesterday, Judy. Sorry your asthma is still bothering you, but glad to hear you are feeling better. Sounds like you are having a productive day, today. Don't overdo things if the asthma is bothering you.

  3. Bless, I am wondering if your tummy trouble is related to the radiation now that you are having the stronger dose? Has this been suggested as a possible side-effect? I do hope you get better soon. I'm anxious, (although I'm sure not halfway as much as you are), for you to get through this whole program once and for all and for you to start to gain strength and health. Hugs and prayers!

    1. Bushlady, I did wonder if the upset tummy was a possible side effect, although I haven't started the stronger dose yet. But, all the articles I've read say it's not a side effect unless the radiation is aimed at the stomach. Then, again, I am very short waisted and still over-weight, so my stomach sort of starts right below where they've been aiming the radiation. ;)

  4. Hi Bless, I'm sorry your yummy is acting up again. ((((HUGS)))). We had a busy weekend here. Our niece, her hubby and their daughter were here visiting so we all got together Saturday for dinner and then my son Chris, DIL Heather and our grandboys joined us for bowling. :) So much fun to spend time with our family! Sunday my hubby and I went to see the new Jason Bourne movie. It was good!

    1. Thanks, Lyssa. As someone who hated sewing as a child, when I was taught it in school, I am managing to do OK.
