Today was another relatively good day. I felt OK except for a slight headache and a sensitive scalp.
I spent a quiet day, today. Did two loads of laundry and that was, more or less, the extent of my productivity. I spoke on the phone with one of my friends, and a neighbor, and two cousins, and I went across the street to deliver a couple of Christmas gifts.
Other than that, I spent most of the day relaxing on the sofa, watching TV programs. Not for a lack of things to do, but because I didn't feel quite up to doing anything much.
Tomorrow, I will go back to the clinic for hydration and to find out my blood test results.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Feeling better
- A quiet, restful day
- TV cooking shows to keep me entertained while I rested
- Christmas cards which continue to arrive in the mail
- My daughter's hugs
Hope you all have had a lovely Sunday.
A great way to spend the day --- relaxing! Good for you for not trying to do too much - your body certainly benefited. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carolyn. Feeling almost back to normal, today!
DeleteI'm glad you had chance to relax. I hope Monday's visit to the clinic went well and wasn't too tiring.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned maple water in a reply earlier. Yes, it is a new way for producers to maximize their profits. We did actually try a version of carbonated sap that was attractively bottled and presented with a wooden label - would be a nice original gift for anyone who does not drink alcohol. I guess we could buy a soda stream gadget and make our own for family use! Of course in the old days people would drink the sap as a spring tonic.

Bushlady, I think it was the bottled sap they were talking about in the news program. It was being called the next biggest health drink. :)
DeleteMaple sap really is extremely healthy, I have information on all the nutrients and it is surprising how valuable it is. I attended a lecture by someone from one of the US universities, possibly Cornell, explaining this.
DeleteBushlady
Sounds like it's a very good product!
DeleteGlad you were able to rest. I enjoy cooking shows, not that it has helped my cooking any!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jess. All most cooking shows do is make me feel hungry! But I like watching them, anyway. :)
