It's a good thing that we are managing OK, because things are pretty dire out there, over here, anyway!Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-11024586182271875042021-01-19T17:11:52.833-08:002021-01-19T17:11:52.833-08:00That was nice to be called in on time for your app...That was nice to be called in on time for your appointment. I don't think that happens to any of us too often. I can't remember when I last had an appointment other than a dental cleaning a few weeks ago. I was looking at an old calendar, making notes, and commented to DH that we hadn't been for a physical or various associated tests since the pandemic, and seemed to be surviving anyway!Bushladynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-36540312798894800362021-01-19T14:22:18.214-08:002021-01-19T14:22:18.214-08:00I'd probably have slept till about 9:00 a.m., ...I'd probably have slept till about 9:00 a.m., at least, I think. After that, a certain kitty becomes rather insistent about his breakfast! He is not going hungry as he has access to his dry kibbles 24/7. But, he wants his tuna! This morning, when I ignored his wake up calls, he got even by regurgitating the dry kibbles he had eaten earlier in the morning! Naughty cat! Now he's happily sleeping on top of my bed covers!

Yes, the gas company sent out someone to check the heater and said everything seemed OK and relit the pilot light for me. He also said to make sure I call for an annual service (all annual services were put off due to the pandemic).

Ha, ha, laundry never ends, does it? I am doing one more load, today, as I type this - the dust sheets on the family room sofas! Kitty fur protectors, as I call them!
Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-77058451944404938922021-01-19T13:25:11.399-08:002021-01-19T13:25:11.399-08:00I have been unable to fall asleep until past 4:00 ...I have been unable to fall asleep until past 4:00 a.m., most nights, so going to bed before 11:00 a.m. was unusual for me! But, I guess I was really tired. The gas company sent someone out this morning and he checked the heater and relit the pilot light for me. He said everything seemed to be in good working order, but, he suggested that I called for an annual maintenance check from now on, which I will do. I hope you are able to attend to the roof problems, whatever they might be, before too long. I'll take being warm in the winter over being cool in the summer, anytime! I wonder what time you would've gotten up if you had not had the appointment?

Reading through the comments, I see you've arranged to have someone come and look at your heater. That's good. I hope it is a quick fix for you.

Yesterday I did 4 loads of laundry!
I could not believe it. A few days ago when I changed the sheets I put the old set in the bottom of an empty laundry hamper instead of washing them right away - which is what I normally do - and things piled up from there lol

Monday morning I got down to business and got it all washed, dried, folded and put away - It's a good feeling. Not a long lasting one but a good one nonetheless. 56stepshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714155300369089630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-6795211267569000142021-01-19T11:05:31.580-08:002021-01-19T11:05:31.580-08:00Glad you got such a good night's sleep and hop...Glad you got such a good night's sleep and hope that the heating problem is quickly sorted. Hopefully, it is a simple adjustment and they can relight the pilot light for me. I do have two small electric space heaters, but, otherwise, yes, the gas wall heater in the living room is my main form of heating.

I should find out the blood test results and, hopefully, the mammogram results, too, on Friday, when I go to see my oncologist.

Ah, yes, tomorrow...I will definitely be watching the inauguration! I have watched every recent inauguration, starting with President Carter's in 1977. :)
Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-14691222372731122212021-01-19T10:04:38.600-08:002021-01-19T10:04:38.600-08:00Thank you, Martha. In the meantime, I put another knitted blanket on my bed, last night, and as you said, I have plenty of sweaters to wear! Currently (almost 10:00 a.m.) it is 64F inside the house, which is not too bad.
