It's a long holiday weekend for us, because Monday is Memorial Day (to honor U.S. military personnel who died while in service; observed on the last Monday in May). It is also considered the unofficial start of summer, here. I, too, am planning on a relaxed weekend. :) Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-7030560052088383122020-05-23T13:13:44.326-07:002020-05-23T13:13:44.326-07:00It is exciting to see the peaches ripening! I'm looking forward to the fresh peaches and jam (even ordered more sugar in anticipation of jam making!) and my daughter would like me to try canning peach halves or slices, since she prefers that to jam! I don't have a canner, as such, but, when has a lack of specialized equipment stopped me from doing something? :D

Believe me, I would be napping, too, if I worked outside for two hours, heat or no heat! I usually stay indoors during the hot afternoons, anyway! :D

Good luck with the trivia questions! What an amazing lot of them. I can imagine all the wonderful jars of jam you will be able to make, as well as all that fresh eating. Yum.

I have been napping a lot lately. I am hoping that the things I bought will last for 10 days - not quite as much pressure as having to think for 2 weeks. Your suggestion was a good one. I even bought 2 pots of flowers to place either side of the front steps. I watered them well and I also watered some mystery wild plants that have sprung up in a clump beside the driveway. I can't wait to see what flowers they have!

It is very hot every day and I just had to have a good long nap this afternoon.
