One less thing to worry about!

I'm glad you were able to stock up a bit more and I hope that you didn't compromise your health while doing it. That is the worrying thing for me. It is so hard to decide when to stay home and not go out at all, isn't it? My daughter did so as of Monday evening - she made one last run to stock up on a couple of items she will be needing as a young woman and has stayed in her apartment ever since. I am planning to do so from today. But, I received a check in the mail that needs to be deposited, so, I might use the drive-through window at the bank to do that. I think, by staying in the car, I will be minimizing any risks. My daughter will arrange for my medications to be delivered to my house - I had resisted doing that until now, preferring to pick it up in person because there have been some problems with getting my medications from time to time. I think the sooner we stay home, the more we do to help prevent the rapid spread of this virus. Yes, I know what you mean - we may live by ourselves, but, we are not alone; there are people we can call on for help if needed, even if we try our best not to ask for that help! LOL. It is so hard for me to ask others (other than my daughter) for help!

Thank you; I plan to walk in my own garden or driveway, every day, weather permitting. I suppose we will adjust, but the need to phone and e-mail seems to take precedence. I did do some cleaning yesterday and I've been basting some wide bias tape onto the long edges of two bath mats which were frayed, ready for machining. I didn't even know I had just that right amount of tape until I started hunting for something suitable. It looks so empty and desolate...very eerie.

I experienced those feelings of distraction and restlessness over the weekend. When I finally realised my next steps, I was like you and did a freezer and pantry inventory. That helped me decide to process the food I did have (I will not be going out any more) and I prepared most of what I have for the room that was available in my small fridge freezer. I didn't bring my chest freezer with me in the move and wishing I had now. I will be looking for one now before the Fall, as I plan to grow a garden this summer.

Besides making bread and yoghurt as I need them, I think I am prepared now.
