It's nice to have those kinds of personal things displayed at Christmas.

I love handmade items and still remember the crocheted blanked my mother's friend made for my doll when I was probably 4 or so. I'm sure it's why I started crocheting because I loved that blanket so much.

Your grocery pick up was a bit trying. In and out as quickly as I can. I can understand why you wouldn't want to go in though. Is there an option for delivery or does that cost extra? I don't think there were many people at all waiting in the store pick-up area though when I went it was still quite early. Or, maybe some of the store workers called in sick at the last minute and they were understaffed. I couldn't order earlier because I didn't know if my daughter would be able to come home or not. I didn't want to order half and half if she wasn't coming home, for example. Sounds like you are nicely organized with your groceries. Wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas, Martha. :)Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-22886603658895420762020-12-23T17:56:45.570-08:002020-12-23T17:56:45.570-08:00I'm glad you can get your groceries delivered ...I'm glad you can get your groceries delivered and avoid shopping in person, Eileen; the infection rate is out of control over here, too (at least in my city and county!)Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-34223781142678750092020-12-23T17:29:31.932-08:002020-12-23T17:29:31.932-08:00What charming pot holders! Obviously for decoration, not for getting curry sauce on!
How fortunate that you had your daughter with you when you had such a long wait for your grocery pickup. Shopping has become so hard for many people in this pandemic and of course the Christmas season is always busy at the best of times.
Yesterday morning I was able to pick up the last few items I wanted and now I hope to stay away from the town for a nice long time and rest after Christmas. I would like to think up a dessert for Christmas day, although we will have mince pies when I get around to rolling the pastry I made and put in the fridge. I was just too tired to make them today but some cleaning and laundry got done!Bushladynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-16595923266744768472020-12-23T17:24:21.780-08:002020-12-23T17:24:21.780-08:00I would have been tempted to don my mask and go in...I would have been tempted to don my mask and go into the store to the bathroom. I don't like to go to the bathroom while I'm out, especially these days, but I've gotten pretty good at not touching anything at all in a bathroom--except soap and water. But you survived and sounds like you and your daughter had fun while waiting--at least in the beginning.

Fresh oranges sound delicious. I still marvel that you can go into your yard and pick them. I was sure to go and stock up last week knowing the stores would be too crowded this week. I will be using up the last of my fresh veggies for my Sunday soup so I'll have to run back for some more veggies early Monday before the store gets too crowded with New Years Eve shoppers, otherwise I'm set until after the new year. Enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas with your daughter. I chose my time carefully, after lunch break for office staff and before school finish for the day, and the store was virtually empty. I'll be sticking with deliveries and getting myself more organised now the infection rate is once again out of control over here.
