Too often, people are too busy going to work, taking care of the family and household tasks, etc., to sit and visit with neighbors, which is a pity. You had talked before of a neighbor whose English wasn't very good, I take it that's a different neighbor? T...Jane, I agree about the need for more visiting. This particular neighbor lost her husband just before Christmas, last year, after more than 50 years of marriage. Her son lives out of state and her daughter lives on her own, but visits her once a week or so. But neighbor is lonely and that's quite understandable. I call her when I go grocery shopping or go to the pharmacy to see if she needs anything and, occasionally, she has had me pick up something for her. I feel it's the least I can do.

The wind has died down and there is only a nice breeze. I'm sure you are enjoying discovering things about your new garden, although, I know there is a lot of work involved, as well. This morning, I discovered that yesterday's wind had knocked over one of the pots I keep on the doorstep in the front and it flattened some of the plants that were growing in the planting bed, below! Gladiolus bulbs that were coming up, and some other bulbs my gardener planted. I hope they will continue to grow, though.

Hope your nice weather continues and you can spend more days in your yard.Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-2769522578903075312017-03-28T11:57:12.250-07:002017-03-28T11:57:12.250-07:00I often learn something new from your blog, Bless,...I often learn something new from your blog, Bless, and this time I had to look up Cesar Chavez, and was pleased to learn about this important civil rights activist.
