Our spring is when the garden is at its best. Once summer comes and the temperatures soar, everything gets dried up and shriveled.

Making a pie for spring break will all depend on how I feel after I start the rest of chemo. Daughter's favorites are pecan and French silk pies.

My dryer is gas; I'd be worried about gas leaks if daughter works on it! One of my neighbors said he'd take a look at it, but he's been too busy to do so. I guess I'll just have to have Sears come out and service it (its their brand); don't know if it would be worth the cost - the dryer is almost 25 years old now! Just like the washer!

I like your "spring forward" checklist!

I haven't worn the wig yet! I've been wearing the turbans and scarves for the most part. I'm thinking I'll use the wig mostly for when I have to go into the office after treatment ends/before my own hair grows.

I'll start the Taxol portion of the treatment this Friday and there will be 12 weekly treatments. Followed by 6 weeks (I believe) of daily radiation. It'll be mid-summer before I finish with treatment.

Hope all is well with you and you are doing OK. Have a wonderful day.
Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-89499155298407502982016-03-17T07:19:40.422-07:002016-03-17T07:19:40.422-07:00Thank you for Birthday greetings. Would you consider making a pie in anticipation of DD's spring break time at home? What is her favorite? I hope you won't take offence but I've a bunch of chores for DD...We use 'spring forward' daylight savings change to check all fire alarms, air quality alarms, flashlight batteries etc. I too like to hang laundry to dry in sunshine but it's helpful to have a functioning tumble dryer. They are very simple machines. Often it's just the 'element' that needs to be replaced and it's easy to look up your particular make and model if you don't have the manual at hand. Even easier are the instruction on You Tube. It occurs that your 'gardner' friend might take the replacement challenge. DD could likely examine it as part of her DIY education with a 'nothing ventured, nothing gained,' attitude.

Admiring how well you are responding to treatment and looking forward to learning the conclusion date.

I wondered if you liked wearing a wig or preferred the soft turbans/hats.
