I can call her if there is something urgent, but, even if I do, she'll just probably tell me to go to the nearest urgent care center. :) But, I'm OK. I do get tired easily (fatigue is one of the side effects of my medications) and I'm sure the whole pandemic situation does have an impact, even though I try not to stress about it. Next week is when my daughter was planning to come down for a visit, but, that visit is not happening, now. I don't know when she will be able to visit, next.

Dancer says thank you! :)Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-63526790430894007922020-06-29T00:06:11.690-07:002020-06-29T00:06:11.690-07:00Thank you, Debra. I spend a lot of time and effort and get the place clean and tidy, then, I maintain it for a few weeks and then slack off and things pile up, again! And the cycle repeats! There are instructions on how to delete your information on the internet but I think that in your case, because they won't start, it may involve removing the hard drive so not the most straightforward thing to do.

Here, there are lots of IT repair specialist who work from their homes and who would come to your house to do the work. It is next to the laundry closet, so, occasionally, the laundry baskets get set on it, as well! LOL.

Thank you, Eileen; I will do a search for possible donation places for the laptops, etc. The only problem is my daughter says we should get any personal info removed and I don't know how to do that because I can't get them to start!

I was staying on top of my paperwork and had all caught up until recently, when I'd set papers aside to disinfect before I opened and processed them. I have been tossing the obviously junk mail in the recycling bin, even before bringing them into the house, but, recently, I've received a lot of stuff in the mail pertaining to Medicare (health care for seniors) since I will be turning 65, this year. At first, I sprayed the mail with disinfectant and kept it until it dried, but, as time went on, I just set the mail aside for longer periods of time! I, too, have a basket and that is also full...mostly with stuff to be filed! That the pile I want to tackle, today!Blesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16369267622517848850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7162428932122354536.post-4612804603914560242020-06-28T11:29:51.321-07:002020-06-28T11:29:51.321-07:00I wonder if Dancer has tried out the table in the ...I wonder if Dancer has tried out the table in the family room yet?
I'm reading this on Sunday and I see you had an egg salad sandwich for lunch yesterday and that is what we had today! You also mentioned having to mop up some water. Well, I put a jug with a pouch of milk in the door shelf of the fridge, closed the door, heard a clunk and opened to find the jug on its side and milk cascading down the fridge and onto the kitchen floor. The spin mop came in handy!
Yesterday DH was trying to make maple candy but it didn't thicken and change colour, so I tipped in a can of evaporated milk and used a beater and then poured the result into a square pan and put it in the freezer. It will be used over icecream or plain cake, I guess. One thing is certain, it won't be wasted and it will be delicious! Firstly, hand washing the woolens and getting them put away in clothes storage is a big job done. And secondly, tackling all those stalagmites must have felt like a day of spelunking. Ha. No wonder you felt hungry (and Dancer needed his rest). Great job.

My weekend was mostly dealing with my grocery order....cooking and mashing the rutabaga, portioning and freezing the meat order, and baking more keto bread. The Trivia game was apparently more difficult than usual (ouch), but my 95 year old father managed the best score of 22 out of 25 questions. He's still got it. One company donates the refurbished laptops to schools, another sends theirs to Africa, another sells them to raise money for the homeless. Maybe there is something like that where you live. I originally found all of these by searching for 'what to do with old laptops'!

Well done on sorting your piles of papers. I used to be the same but retrained myself to deal with it immediately if it will take less than five minutes, or it can go in my one small basket but that has to be dealt with as soon as the basket fills up. As I got used to my new routine I found that most of the paperwork is dealt with immediately and I don't have piles of new stuff anymore. Of course I still had a mountain of unwanted old papers in various cupboards that I have been clearing but once that's finished I will be on top of the problem.Eileen Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06340398156618870705noreply@blogger.com
