I don't usually put links on my posts, but, I am providing a link to the website that provides additional information about the sculptures, the pollinators and their host plants
here.
I loved this display. My photos aren't the best, but I hope you enjoyed the sculptures.
A fabulous display, thank you for sharing the pictures. What a contrast between these large scale models, and the miniatures I posted about on Thursday
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angela. Yes, quite a contrast, but each is unique in its own way, isn't it?
DeleteWhat amazing sculptures! They are rather lovely - although some of them look rather menacing on a large scale!
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing, aren't they? At first, I didn't realize that they were made out of plant material.
DeleteThat is amazing "artwork". I have never seen anything like it. Thanks for sharing all the pictures! Happy weekend- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI found it fascinating! Later, when I found out that it was made from plant material, I was even more amazed.
DeleteThank you, Diana. Hope you have a lovely weekend, yourself.
What a fun display! I've never seen anything quite like that.
ReplyDeleteIt's rather amazing, isn't it? I didn't know about this new exhibit and was pleasantly surprised when I found it.
DeleteThat is one seriously cool sculpture/plant exhibit!
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too, Anne. I was fascinated by it.
DeleteThese are great sculptures! Also, just want to add that the Sri Lankan store looks fascinating! I'd love to visit both places.
ReplyDeleteI loved the sculptures, Celie. You'll have to plan a visit to Calif. :)
DeleteThese are quite amazing. I particularly like the bee on the orchid, and the Honeycreeper.
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing, aren't they? I really enjoyed seeing them. :)
DeleteWhat a great display! I love seeing things like this.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful display, isn't it? I quite enjoyed it.
DeleteWow....very interesting and unusual sculptures. Would love to see this. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandy. I really liked the sculptures and was glad I could see them. :)
DeleteThat was a lucky encounter! I like the honeycreeper best. Not sure which bit the lobelia is, but ours are very different. The possum is quite cute but I don't think I would care to meet one IRL!
ReplyDeleteIt was, wasn't it? I'm so glad I got to see it. The lobelia shown in the sculpture seems to be the Oahu Lobelia (Lobelia oahuensis) which is endemic to Hawaii.
DeleteWow! Such inventive and fabulous sculptures. I think I like the bee in the orchid the best. But it's hard to pick!
ReplyDeleteI loved the sculptures. I was rather tired by the time we got to that exhibit, but, I wanted to photograph them all!
