Here we are on the last day of November and I haven't kept up with my meal planning! I did make some meal plan options for Week 3, but, Week 4 sort of planned itself based of leftovers from daughter's afternoon tea, the week's grocery shopping, and the Thanksgiving dinner.

Going forward into December, I will be making milkrice on the 1st as that is a given. However, I am not going to make a meal plan for at least the first week in December because the fridge is full with an assortment of leftovers! I will, however, try to keep track of what we have for our meals, each day.
I am grateful for the abundance and variety of food with which we've been blessed and the generosity of those who have shared their food with us.
How did your November meal planning work out? Will you be making meal plans for December?

Oops! I haven't managed to do meal planning for this week. I'll try and get sorted this evening, otherwise, I'll be wasting time each day going to the supermarket on my way home from work.
ReplyDeleteHappy December, Bless! X
Thank you, Jules. Hope you have a lovely December, yourself. I also hope you were able to get some meal plans in place if only to avoid having to grocery shop every day! :)
DeletePer usual, we don't have specific meal plans here other than to not let food go to waste. Yesterday, I made a big pot of chili and some bread. It hit the spot on the cold, rainy day we had.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to do well without any specific meal plans which is fine. In fact, that's what I'll be doing this week, since we have so much food in the fridge. Chili and homemade bread sounds wonderful!
DeleteWhat a wonderful assortment of food you had.
ReplyDeleteMy appetite perked up when I read about the homemade Vietnamese egg rolls and bahn bao.
How clever you are using the leftover potato water to make a batch of soup.
It was quite a varied assortment of food, wasn't it? The homemade eggrolls and bao were wonderful! Daughter's friend is a good cook!
DeleteI had been wanting to make a potato soup for some time and I thought this was a good opportunity to do so (not that we needed more food...) Usually, my daughter doesn't much care for the soups I make, but, this time, she loved the potato soup so that's a bonus!
Both dinner photos have me drooling! I have actually eaten dragonfruit, as it is a component in a bag of frozen tropical fruit that I sometimes buy. I like it, and I'm sure it is even better fresh. Right now anything tropical appeals to me! We had our driveway cleared of snow for the first time this winter and the temperature was below zero when I went for the mail.
ReplyDeleteThe dragonfruit was delicious. I hope you can get some fresh tropical fruit, Bushlady. It sounds like winter had arrived! I am very glad that it doesn't get quite as cold where I am!
DeleteYou definitely had a wonderful assortment, and it's so nice that you have leftovers and don't have to worry about meal planning this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha. Yes, we shall be having leftovers this week. :)
