Quiet Friday

Today, I went to the office in the morning and had a very productive day.  I finished what I had wanted to get done by the end of the day and even started on stuff I had planned to do on Monday, so it was a productive day.

I ate leftover chicken stir-fry with rice for lunch with a tangerine for my dessert and some dried cranberries for a snack.  I also bought myself an almond croissant to have with my evening tea and then, I wasn't hungry for dinner!

After I came home from work, I relaxed.  My aunt C called almost as soon as I walked in the door and I chatted with her for about 45 minutes.  She had much to tell me because we haven't spoken since Wednesday!  LOL.

After that, I spoke with my daughter on the phone and later, we video chatted, too.

In between, I watched the news, exchanged emails with a friend, and read blogs.  We were supposed to get some rain, today, but it didn't rain.  It was cloudy and overcast, but no rain.

Today, I am grateful for:
- A safe commute to the office and back
- A productive day at the office
- A relaxed evening at home
- Conversations with my aunt
- Video chatting with my daughter

Plans for the weekend include doing some grocery shopping, a load or two of laundry, and some house cleaning.  But no To Do list as such.

How was your Friday?  Do you have plans for the weekend?

  1. So nice that you had such a good Friday at work including a nice lunch. On that note do you have a thermos (flask) that you could take soup to work for your lunch.

Second day in a row our temperature will warm up to low 50s and then showers which we need. Managed a short walk outside yesterday and maybe today!

    1. Thank you, Sandy. No, I don't have a thermos/flask, but there is a microwave, so, when I take soup, I just use a container and warm it up there. There's a toaster oven, too, so warming up food is not a problem.

Glad to hear it is warming up a bit and you can go for a walk or two! We could do with a spot of rain, but, I'm sure those hillside areas that had the mudslides don't need more rain! As long as the mountains get snow, we should be OK for water, though, because the snow melt is what provides our city water throughout the year.
