Friday

I had a quiet day, today.  Spent the major part of the day doing office work.

I took a break in the late afternoon when my gardener friend came over to do the garden.  He added the soil amendment to the planting bed and then, planted the aeonium cuttings for me.  I forgot to take a picture, but will do so over the weekend.

Brunch was another godamba roti from the freezer with some of the chicken curry I had cooked earlier in the week.

Dinner was two of the frozen battered fish fillets, baked, with a side salad of lettuce, carrot, and some halved green grapes with a bottled honey-mustard dressing; a piece of apple for dessert.

Today, I am grateful for:
- Being able to work from home
- A warm, sunny day
- Gardener friend helping me with the garden
- Chatting with my daughter
- Fresh oranges from the tree

Friday's To Do List:
- Work from home - DONE
- Have gardener friend finish making the planting bed/plant the aeonium cuttings - DONE
- Water the indoor plants - DONE
- Cook the green beans
- Daily Tasks

 Saturday's To Do List:
- Appointment with tax preparer in the morning
- Change bed sheets
- Do laundry?
- Cook the green beans!
- Grocery shop?
- Do  the dishes
- Clean the litter box

I am not sure how much of that list I'll be able to accomplish tomorrow.  The grocery shopping, for example, can be done on Sunday, too.

How was your Friday?  Did you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?  What are your plans for the weekend?

  1. Another colourful lunch! And I would so love to be able to pick oranges straight from the tree.
Forgive my absence. I have been catching up on blog reading over the last couple of days and will be reading back on yours this evening.
I hope all is well with you and your daughter. Enjoy your weekend and try not to do too much. Taxes -meh! X

    1. Don't worry about not commenting on my blog, Jules. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with all the reading. I know, because I get behind with reading and commenting, myself. Hope you are having a lovely weekend and the nice spring weather is continuing.

  2. We didn't do much special for St. Patrick's Day except wear green. Otherwise I had a productive day with work and errands.

  3. A good Friday I would say. You paced yourself very well.

Interesting how we put certain things off for one thing or another. You with your green beans and me with the Cheesy Salmon Loaf I have intended to make for a couple of days! So today I have decided I will mix the loaf up early in the day, along with prep the vegetables. My plan is to do this while I am still fresh ready to cook later today. I have good intentions but now sometimes my energy is gone late in the day.

No we do not celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

    1. I know, I felt bad about not making the green beans! I really need to cook them today! My kitchen is a bit of a mess because I didn't do the dishes (I am collecting to have enough to justify running the dishwasher) and I hate to cook when the kitchen is a mess!

  4. I am laughing at not cooking with a mess! I am naturally cluttered so I would never cook if I waited for kitchen perfection.
