Yet Another Rainy Monday

We had more rain, Monday morning into afternoon!  It cleared later in the afternoon, but it rained a bit, again, in the evening.  It's not raining now, but the forecast says it might rain on Tuesday, too.

I worked from home, again, on Monday.  Later in the evening, I cleaned the litter box, emptied the kitchen trash, etc., and took the trash cans to the curb for pick up in the morning.  I also did a load of dishes in the dishwasher and washed the pots and pans (and my more delicate tea cups) by hand.

I ironed the woolen skirt I altered the other day and I tried on more outfits I have in the closet.  There are more skirts I can wear, so that's good.  If I can put together five outfits for the work week, I'll be set!  As had been suggested on one of my earlier posts about the difficulties of shopping for a pair of pants that I liked, skirts and dresses might be the best solution at this time (thanks, Marylynn!).

Today, I am grateful for:
- More rain for the garden!
- Being able to work from home as needed.
- Being able to "shop" from my closet!
- Being able to sew, alter, mend, etc.
- Having a working dishwasher, again!

Tuesday's To Do List:

- Office work
- Bring trash cans in
- Put away washed dishes
- 15 minutes of tidying in the living room

How was your Monday?  Did you have a good start to your week?  What have you planned for Tuesday?

  1. I'm glad you're getting some extended rain. That should help a little with the drought. It's the quick hard rains that just run off and do much.

    1. Yes, our recent rains have helped. The ground is saturated in some areas, so there's a threat of mud slides. We need a day or two for the water to percolate down before it rains again.

  2. All my plans for today got derailed because of a storm last night and I am so grateful that I have learned to let go of the "small stuff" to be fully prepared and deal with crisis, thanks to all you have taught me through the years.

I came to leave a comment in gratitude for being you in my life! Lots of love from afar but thinking of you daily and so happy that I have your daily news thanks to your blog. ~ Otir

    1. Otir, I am so sorry to hear you have to deal with the aftermath of a storm. I hope you and your sons are OK. How very sweet of you to take the time to post such a lovely comment, when you have so much going on to take care of! Thank you! I don't think I've taught you anything - you have an inner strength that many of us would love to have - but if I have been of any help at all, I am glad! May you be blessed with everything you need at this time of coping with the storm. (((HUGS)))

    1. Wow, Judy, you did have a busy day! You got a lot done! Taxes! Eek! All I've done so far has been to print out my W-2!

I hope you accomplish all what you set out to do, tomorrow. Have a blessed week, Judy.

  4. Hi Bless! Do you have a Goodwill or other thrift store close to you? I have found that they frequently have a much larger selection of pants, skirts, tops, sweaters and jackets than I can find anywhere else and most of the items are in great shape, some even brand new with tags! I too have a hard time finding pants that fit me correctly so shopping in regular retail stores in a nightmare since the choices are so limited. Most of the pants that I have found at Goodwill and other thrift stores that do fit me retail for $80 or more and yet I can pick them up for $8.99 and under at the thrift store.

    1. Debbie, yes, there is a Goodwill store not too far from me. In fact, my daughter was suggesting the same, just yesterday! I shall go and take a look, one of these days. Nope, not going to pay $80 for a pair of pants! $20 is the maximum I will pay.

  5. You are getting a lot of rain! I can't wait to see what happens in your garden. I can't comment on skirts instead of trousers as I never wear skirts ever. x

    1. It is sunny, again, today, and there is no rain in the forecast for the next several days. But we've had so much rain, I won't have to water the garden for at least another week. :)
