New Year Goals/Resolutions

In 2015, I called them goals.  In 2016, I called them resolutions.   I am going to call them goals, again, in 2017, although they are, for the most part, the same resolutions I made in 2016.  Really doesn't matter what I call them, they are what I hope to attain during the year to improve the quality of my life.

Goal 1:  Good health - continue to climb the mountain and strive to attain the goal of being cancer free and healthy, overall.  Continue to keep all medical appointments, monitor my weight, eat a healthy diet, drink enough water and stay hydrated, increase my activity levels to build up stamina and strength, monitor my blood pressure and sugar levels to keep them under control, etc.

Goal 2:  Procrastinate less - strive to take care of things right away; a long time goal that I struggle to attain.

Goal 3:  Be more organized - this, too, continues to be a long time goal and it includes decluttering and having a place for everything and everything being in its place.

Goal 4:  Be thankful - continue to focus on gratitude, abundance, and blessings.

Goal 5:  Be more balanced - strive to achieve a well-balanced life.  Admittedly, my health will continue to dominate all aspects of my life, but I will continue to try to ensure that other aspects of my life don't get neglected.

I plan to continue to incorporate them into my Balance Wheel to make sure they are worked on throughout the year.

Here's hoping we will all achieve what we wish to achieve in 2017.

    1. The nice thing about the start of a new year is that we all start out with so much hope and resolve! :) That, in itself, must count for something!

  3. I identify mostly with goal number 3 right now. I wish to do a major purge and get more organized in my life. I know that you stress the importance of balance, but I think I am balanced in my private and social life. My friends do that for me.

    1. Sounds good to me, Susan. Focus on the area that you wish to improve the most. I'm glad your friends help you with keeping your private and social life balanced. :)

  4. I love how you condense your goals to 5 main goals.

Are you going to have a specific goal every day for decluttering just like you did for a while in 2016?

    1. Thanks, Nathalie. There are one or two goals that didn't make it to the list, but that's OK. Ideally, I'd like to challenge myself to declutter 10 items a day, but I think I might start out with 5 items for the time being - starting next week! This first week is just to ease into the new year! :D (Otherwise, I'd already be behind!)
